Sunday open in Dubbo

It was a bit hard to find restaurants open for Sundays dinners in Dubbo if you didn't want to usual fare of pizza or thai. We opted for sticks and stones when the vietnamese Taiwan Do 2 was closed. Service at Sticks and Stone was slow and we had to ask for food...but when it finally came...it was... read more

By Dubbo standards this place is pretty good. We went once for dinner and once for breakfast. The much hyped pizzas were tasteless but the breakfast was pretty good.

sticks and stones have 1 of the best breakys ever, i had the big breakfast, toast, sausage, egg (cooked the way you want it), bacon, tomato and to top it off they made their own baked beans, put a hot cup of coffee with it and your set for the day. if you are in Dubbo and looking for some where to... We've been semi-regulars to this restaurant. Haven't been for a while so thought we would go back. Disappointed. The owners & hosts are great people however this time... service was pretty ordinary, we were pushed to order in the beginning & then didn't see anyone. Menu has changed since our last visit & unfortunately we found the food bland. Don't... More

The trainee at the counter was friendly, however, the meal was inedible. I ordered carbonara and polenta chips. The chips were average and there were only 9 thick chips in the tub ($11) and the carbonara was quite possibly the worst pasta I have ever eaten. For the $34 I paid for these 2 items; I was left feeling sick... More

Great coffee, great meals, great environment with friendly staff. Good access for grabbing a quick take away coffee - open late afternoon when everyone else is closed!!!

We ate here for dinner and from the moment you walk in and smell the food fire under the oven was beautiful. The two girls who were working were so efficient for a restaurant that was quit busy they didn't seem to miss a beat. The margarita pizza with prosciutto reminded me of the ones I used to have at... I've eaten here twice over the last 6 months, once for lunch & once for dinner. The food on both occasions was delicious. Don't expect to able to fit in 3 courses over dinner unless you share an entrée (& maybe even dessert) as the servings are huge. The cocktails are excellent & there is a good range of wines... More

Enjoyed the polenta chips & the exceptional bruschetta followed by shared pizza & gelato! So good I have been back 2 weeks in a row.

Sticks and Stones is located conveniently in Macquarie St. The service is always good although sometimes a little slow. The food I have found to be always of a good standard. And the coffee I like to although I am not a connoisseur. It has a nice open feel to it and if its not to hot a rear deck... More
