Dinner following family Wake

We stayed for dinner following a family Wake. The kitchen was busy but our meals didn't take too long. The vegetables with my meal were only just warm but the lamb shanks were beautiful and melt in the mouth tender.

We ate here both nights we stayed. The 2nd to give them a chance after day 1. Most food choices on the menu were not available - both nights. I am not sure if they have heard of supermarkets to get prawns, sundried tomatoes etc!

Great outdoor area with kids climbing gym and play area for smaller kids inside. Seating inside or outside for food, food was good and plentiful. No one left hungry.

This motel is old and in need of refurbishment. The rooms are adequate in size but dated and the motel is on a busy Dubbo intersection. If you are sensitive to traffic noise this may not be the place for you. It is convenient though because there is a bar and bistro on the same site. The bistro food is... More

The food here for me was really nice the atmosphere was good it was warm and friendly. The staff is what made it for me the food was a bit selectively pricey because everything you wanted was on a different night with the specials but hey it was a nice night out.

After months of telling people about how great the Macquarie Inn's food is, I headed down there last week after a long day at work, excited by the notion of a drink and the best chicken schnitzel burger in town. I was looking at the menu when I realised a disaster had occurred - the schnitty burger was gone! No... More

We had not been to the restaurant for about 6 months and decided to get together with friends for lunch. When we last ate there the food was typical pub fare; good food, generous servings and reasonable prices. It seems the management has changed and so has everything else. Prices are now high, the food is poorly prepared, the serving... More

Just another pub meal really. The place was not busy mid week and the meals took a long time to arrive. The pasta dish was small, the thai beef salad was enormous and the chicken schnitzel was reasonable. The chips with the chicken were cold. Staff friendly, drinks expensive and location is a bit out of the way.

We chose this restaurant as it had a kids area, which was small inside (big outside but cold!) but did the trick! Lovely roaring fire and good bistro pub feel. We were also pleased when we arrived to see Fridays had kids eat free. However our waitress charged my husband for our son and it was only when I questioned... More

Meals were mixed up in different plates, the rare steak was well done the well done was bleeding. The staff asked how our meal was, when we told her it wasn't good at all, she took our plates and walked away. No questions as to what was wrong with it at all. A big waste of time and money.
