..And it is about time that it did!! I cannot wait to see what the new owners do with such a prime piece of real estate on Albury's main street. Although anything would be better than Canteen Cuisine.

We always enjoyed going here for brunch on the weekend. I'm not sure why so many of the reivews are bad - we never had a dud meal in the years we've been visiting. Unfortunately, it's closed down to re-open in Oct 14 under new management, so we'll see what happens!

Ate here tonight, okay place. But for the price, food quality and portions should have been much better. The meals were warm going on cold, and the gnocchi was lumpy

Ordered chicken and mushroom risotto. It certainly wasn't like any risotto I've had before. Pan fried chicken pieces and mushrooms tossed in arborio rice which looked like fried rice. No flavour. Terrible! Waitresses were friendly. Owner sat out the front smoking and talking most the time. Keep walking if thinking about trying this place.

I would never recommend this cafe to anyone. I went with my daughter, her three cousins and my Sister in law. we ordered drinks and cake. My coffee was reasonable. The cake on the other hand was dry, Hummingbird, which should not be dry. I explained to the waitress the issue i had. when i approached the cash register i... More

Not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews... The food is amazing and you get a HUGE helping.. Definite value for money!! The service was fantastic too and everyone made us feel important like we were their only customers!! As for the chain smoking owner playing cards out the front... If you don't like it don't walk in... But... More

I had not heard great things from friends about this cafe/restaurant, but decided to give it a go. It's on there sunny side of the street which is nice in the colder weather. But the cakes were ordinary, the coffees were cool, as was the service. I just didn't get a great vibe from this cafe or the staff. I... More

The biggest turn off with this place is the owner sitting out the front playing cards or backgammon with his mates chain smoking and barking orders at the wait staff. The food is pretty same same. Decor tired. The only plus to this place, is its on the sunny side of the main street. If you can get a table... More

The food was excellent, prepared with care. Service? in these days you would say timely- atmosphere friendly and value for money great, we had fresh grilled fish, chilled wine, fresh salad. Comments heard from those around us: "This is beautiful"!

Ordered trio of dips with olives and focaccia bread to start. Olives were 100% jar olives, and all three dips were almost certainly the cheap packet stuff you buy from supermarkets. For mains we ordered marinara pasta and gnocchi matriciana. Not only did it take 45 mins to come out, it was also horrendously bad. My gnocchi looked and tasted... More
