EXCELLENT LOCATION, GOOD FOOD & SERVICE

A busy pub that caters for drinkers, walkers and diners alike. Nice big atmospheric bar area with separate dining areas if preferred. Managed to get a table for 2 in the upstairs restaurant by the window with superb view over the river. Service was good as was the food which arrived promptly... read more

The restaurant was recommended to me by my neighbour and a booking made via e-mail which was very efficiently organised. The pub itself is fantastic to look at and its location straight out of Dickens with mist, house boats and decaying boats; a proper living and working little hamlet. The ambiance in the pub itself is brilliant, the atmosphere is... More

I was so disappointed with this restaurant! We had chicken Caesar Salad which was tasteless. We are regular customers at the Wilford Bridge and the Coach and Horses so we expected the same type of atmosphere. I think it needs a bit of T.L.C.

Beautiful views and lovely walks. The food is quite superb not overly priced and good service. Warm days can eat outside and enjoy the view of the river. Lots of old barges Certainly a must to check out and view.

The Butt and Oyster is unique in its proximity to the gorgeous tides and mud of characterful Pin Mill. The original bar with the roaring fire is THE place to drink to catch the feel of this historic pub. The dining room next door was unsympathetically modernised a few years ago with a false floor, but it still has fine... More

Popped in for very late lunch on the off chance they had a free table and luckily were squeezed in between normal lunch and early dinner sittings. The menu was full of delicious dishes although a few of them were unavailable including the seafood risotto I had wanted. I therefore opted for the cold seafood platter which was simply delicious... I count myself very lucky that I only live 2 minutes walk from the Butt and Oyster. I have been eating here regularly since June 2014 and I have not had a single bad meal or experience. My favourite is the pulled pork, but I've eaten many different things, fish and chips, chicken, curry. The sticky toffee pudding it's absolutely... More

Over £2 for a small coke, £3.75 for a VERY weak beer. Sandwiches that consist of huge slabs of bread but little or no filling. Great location but bring an expense account card !!
