Wow, this food was great. Chicken wrapped in bacon was lovely, veggies perfectly cooked. Boyfriend considers himself a steak connoisseur and thought the rib eye was awesome. Dessert trio - YUMMMMMM! The reviews are right, this is a TAB sports pub but so what, the food is worth it. Reasonably priced, $31 for chicken and $34 for steak isn't bad... More

The fish and chips were good, but come on... $28? The Ranch capitalizes on its central location and promotion by local lodging businesses. The food is straight ahead pub cuisine, reasonably well executed and delivered to your table by cute young waitstaff. If you can handle the prices, not a bad spot for a casual meal.

Pub food. Heavy, but well executed. Good fish/ribeye and fries, but no bargains. If you like campy Americana (shotguns, classic rock, cowboys 'n' Indians, and wagon wheels, you can't go wrong here) and slot machines, you'll enjoy the ambiance. I preferred the cozy, homey vibe and reasonable prices across the street at La Toscana. On the other hand, I can't... More

Good food and drink here. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Seems to be one of the busiest spots in town.

A great restaurant in the middle of town with a great atmosphere and good quality food. The Sunday lunch served after 5 pm is excellent value and leaves room to sample the excellent home made sweets which are equally as enticing, the staff are friendly and very helpful and a. Great atmosphere, will look forward to returning.

Average Kiwi beer. Nice, helpful staff. Pub food - likely defrosted but that's what you pay for. Older crowd with some families.

This place worked for us including our toddler. The food is awesome! They cooked up a mini roast for our daughter. The ciders were lovely and the recommendations from the staff of the excellent NZ wines. The food is first class and the service was impeccable what more could you ask for when starving hungry and looking for a great... More

Great sized pints. Great atmosphere. Good tap selection. It's another run of the mill bar, with nothing wrong with it but nothing that stands out.

A busy place, with much more a pub than a restaurant feel. All a bit blokey - including waitresses in low-cut tops. Food-wise, roasts pretty good - in terms of quantity, quality and value (about $20 each midweek). Fish and chips steep at $36 in this setting. At that price I'd recommend the Redcliff or Keplers instead. Pavlova disappointing -... More
