We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Redcliff (venison was delicious) in a comfortable environment - we really liked the decoration of the rooms. Staff was friendly and service was sharp. A bit pricey but really a step ahead.

Went for a meal to this quirky restaurant on our last night. The food was awesome, totally fresh, locally sourced and a bit different from the norm. It was well cooked and presented. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere different to eat.

There is a very good reason why this place is well known as the best place in Te Anau. Food was stunning and proved a perfect place for us to celebrate our engagement. Price for the standard of food is very good.

We were encouraged by the great reviews and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The bread for starter was delicious, I had the hare and was fantastic. The wine and beer selection was great too.

I really enjoyed the dinner we had at the Redcliff. Right from the start the friendly atmosphere gets you - excellent staff all round. What I really appreciated was finding something different on the menu. Having been travelling around NZ for nearly 3 weeks I was finding dinner menus somewhat samey. Redcliff to the rescue! And when the food came... More

The best meal so far on our ten day sojourn. Recommended by our B&B as being the best in town we can say this is our 3rd meal in town and certainly the best by far. My wife had the Venison and I had the wild Hair blackstrap. Both meals were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Accompanied by a... More

Whilst this is not a gourmet restaurant, the atmosphere, service and food still warrants an excellent rating. Full of locals and you can clearly understand why. However, you need to book in advance most of the time.

We were recommended this by our luxury Loch Vista B&B hostess and we're not disappointed- the old buildimg hid a raft of talent- especially the cuisine venison and hare, flights of Central Otago Pinot and splendid desserts. We dined here three nights in our week in Te Anau and enjoyed it on each occasion. Mine host at Fiordland Lodge might... More

An eclectic mix of decor, from nostalgic to funky, a great little bar, casual outside seating and more 'formal' inside, plus marvelous food and wine/beer/cider choices - just a great night.

fantastic menu with wide range of original dishes. We had the venison, lamb and hare and all were delicious. Duck wing starter was great. Not many places where I would be happy with any main off the menu, but this is one of those. Food cooked perfectly, delicious flavours. Good selection of central otago wines. Highly recommended.
