My husband and I stopped in town on the way to Doubtful Sound and were happily surprised with Redcliff. Cute and cozy atmosphere and the food was beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A thoroughly enjoyable meal here - served in a remodeled home close to the lake, there was an exciting amount of energy from the staff and guests. Outdoor seating in the front garden and porch was a nice spot for coffee or a drink before dinner. The interior decor was eclectic, farm house and slightly dated. Guests and the staff... More

We had dinner here the one night we stayed in Te Anau on our way to Milford Sound and it was well worth it. Service was really friendly and fast, and food was very enjoyable for all four of us.

During our 3-night-stay in Te Anau we went to Redcliff twice. On the first evening everything was just exceptional, the homemade bread with the mustard-butter and the garlic bulb, the venison and especially the hare. Therefore we decided to come again the next day. We ordered a dozen of Bluff Oysters which were just very, very fresh and tasty. For... More

We arrived in Te Anau at about 8:45 PM. We walked five minutes from our lodging to the red Cliff. We walked in the door and were completely stunned by the Ambiance and the friendliness of the staff. The unique Victorian home presented itself with a bar first followed by a cluster of smaller rooms for dining. The menu, albeit... More

Best meal in NZ! Celebrated my 62nd birthday and had very pleasant service, wonderful, interesting restaurant interior and great food & wine. NZ restaurants don't usually cater to vegetarians, & I'm not super strict about this, but it is always a treat when a restaurant offers a veggie selection that is truly special. Our meat-eating friends were very pleased with... More

We used trip advisor to find somewhere for dinner on our way back from Milford Sound. Redcliffe was rated highly and we could certainly see why. A busy little gem, that managed to seat us with no reservation, it blew us away with an incredible menu, making it very hard to choose. In the end we chose the "trio of... More

If you are eating in the evening you really must try the Redcliffe. The food here is absolutely wonderful a cut above many of the restaurants that we found in New Zealand. The flavours were to die for. I had their braised beef and my wife had hare. The two main courses were enough for us for the whole of... More

It's what the others promise. We loved the food. The service was attentive, friendly and quick. They know what they are doing here. It's very slick but friendly and homey at the same time. You won't be disappointed.
