Great food in humble surroundings. Great place to stop after visiting any of the surrounding sounds. Quick. Fresh. Cheap. Go get it!

We were really disappointed with this restaurant. There were four of us, so we ordered a banquet. People were coming in after us, being served, leaving, and we were still waiting for our food to arrive. It took a long time between courses to be served. By the time the last dish came out (about 2 hours after our first... More

We visited this restaurant after reading the good reviews on trip advisor, and had such high hopes for a nice Chinese dinner. Unfortunately we left very disappointed. I ordered the pork chow mien and asked for it to be made spicy and it was quite possibly the blandest dish I have ever eaten. The noodles resembled super noodles, and the... More

Although the restaurant was almost full when we ordered our takeaway, we were attended to straight away and told that our order would be ready in 5-10 minutes. When we returned 7 minutes later we were immediately handed our bag. When opened we found mighty portions which defeated our healthy appetites to form a still tasty snack the following day.... More

My husband & I were in NZ for a 3 weeks road-trip, and we have a sudden craving for chinese food. Through recommendation by the hotel receptionist, we decided to go to Ming Garden for dinner. The food is really yummy with big generous portions, and the service is good too, with our dished served very quickly together. The business... More

Fine eggroll. Overall OK. Nothing to write home about. They forgot to deliver rice. One dish was rather gelatinous.

It was a free night to get our own supper so we wandered up the street to the buffet that was recommended by local people. We entered and wee quickly seated and told the buffet was our best value over 701 items a nice touch was that all dishes had no MSDG and any spicy dishes were labelled with a... More

We were impressed by this restaurant. The food was good and the service was excellent. The surroundings are nothing special but we would recommend eating here for the food and service.

This is just a simple, unfussy Chinese serving really good quality food at very reasonable prices. We ate here on a Sunday evening, only us and a big table of Chinese diners (usually a good sign) and were very pleasantly surprised at how quickly our food arrived and it's quality. Delicious food and very generous portions.
