Decor very average. Live Crayfish tanks. Food was nice but not fantastic. Seemed not particularly clean.

I went to this restaurant with my partner. From the outside the building looks a bit rough and only gets worse as you continue inside. This restaurant seems like it is the go to shop for all the Chinese tourists which made us think it could be alright. We asked the waitress what the young chow rice consisted of and... More

We ordered honey chicken, mongolian lamb and steamed rice. The restaurant was dated and had a stale smell throughout. The honey chicken was dry and the sauce was tangy. It was a tiny dish and was very expensive for the size. The mongolian lamb came out a long time after our first dish and the meat tasted off and chewy.... More

we can't comment on the food as we didn't eat. We entered looking forward to a banquet for our family of 5 after a week of eating in our motor home. We chose menu 2 that said $28 for a minimum of 3. Upon ordering, we were told there was too many of us, that you could only order for... More

Felt like tasty food after a day of travelling and sight seeing. Wandered past several restaurants before deciding on China City due to a couple of items on the menu. Great choice as the food was delicious, service was efficient and price reasonable.

I was there with some friends who loved Chinese food. We had several dishes with fish, beef, pork, chicken, vegetables and a seafood soup. The seafood soup was very delicious. The deep fried fish fillets had a bit of bones. Otherwise, it tasted good. All in all, I was satisfied with the meal and the serving staff.

I wish i would check the trip advisor before we walked in. The set up was dreadful. Food very disappointing. Ordered sizzling prawns, that came out steamed and bland. 7 prawns for $30 - I felt cheated.

But the queues of Chinese who are on the coach tours jostling in (a cultural anathema) queues to get their noodle and rice fix is bordering on the laughable and tragically pathetic. "Come to New Zealand...eat noodles!" Lamb, fish, root vegetables, beef....let's try and not be stereotypical!

large place, caters mostly to chinese tour groups it seems, takeaway and sit down menus are different, the food is ok - not good not bad - average. We had fried rice, chow mein, chicken with veggies and sweet and sour chicken. The chicken with veggies and the chow mein were the same stuff with just the chowmein thrown in... More
