Great grilled fish and chips and wonderful people

We had the grilled orange roughy and chips...fish was perfectly cooked. Other family members had burgers but we really enjoyed the venison one which had real steak chunks and a delicious sauce. The owner was so nice and friendly. Many thanks.

Was looking for a quick bite, and found this little store. Very friendly reception, and opted for a fish and chips. The food took a bit longer than we expected to arrive. Quality was however good - fish was fresh, well cooked with not to much batter smothering the good cut of fish. And a decent size chips also well... More

An outstanding meal of fish & chips, which were cooked to perfection and enjoyed in a pleasant very clean dining room. At just $24 for dinner for the two of us this was extremely good value. Well recommended

We came to Mainly Seafood hungry and cold after a day of hiking in the rain and driving. We ordered hot chocolate which was delicious and warmed us right up. My husband had fish and chips which was quite tasty but didn't come with any tartar sauce (you have to order it separately). The fries were perfectly crisped. I had... More

We had a burger with hash brown and beef, filling and taste good. Fish and chips is alright, a bit disappointed they don't have cod. The salmon is surprising good though.

this is either a sit down restaurant, or in our case a takeaway. I don't usually review takeout food but this has to be an exception.. The Fish of the day was orange roughy! Hard to get, so delicious. Cooked to perfection in a light crispy batter with no soggy bits! Chips also cooked perfectly and not drowned in oil... More

We just wanted some simple food, grilled orange roughy and rice. No frills but clean and airy seating area, lemon pepper on the tables and fast courteous service.

didnt want a big meal or anything fancy. Found this place - great selection - you didnt have to order the chips - even had green lipped mussels. Place is being sold at the end of the month- hopefully it will continue with its good reputation.

We happened in here for a late afternoon snack and food was great so we turned it into an early dinner! Bluff oysters were in fresh so we shared some of those and then some fish and chips. My husband loves fried food but I sometimes have problems with it. Not this! It was fresh, served up hot, batter was... More
