Te Anau is definitely the middle stop enroute between queenstown and Milford sound. This cafe is near the lake and kitty corner to the real journey travel agent, almost all the tours will stop by at this cafe, but try to avoid! The coffee is so bitter and it's poorly brewed. The chocolate croissant is stone cold although it's placed... More

This was a perfectly fine cafe with a wide range of food choices. The food was hot and the cafe was warm (on a freezing day) with a nice view of the lake.

I turned up at about 7.00pm one evening to find the kitchen closed. The staff checked what I wanted and asked the chef if he could do it. He was only to happy to oblige and opened the kitchen to cook 2 serves of fish and chips to take away. These were served with a nice fresh salad. i would... More

Everything we ordered was pretty much average. The smoothie and iced coffee was watery, the ice cream came on an old and soggy cone. Service was nothing special

If your looking for a quick place to grab a bite, a drink, and surf the net for free, look no further than the Pop-In Cafe. In a town with a general lack of free Wi-Fi options, we found Pop-In a great resting place to crash for 30 minutes before dashing out again for more great Fiordland scenery. Note this... More

We chose toasted sandwiches with ham, cheese and pineapple. Plenty of ingredients, and well-prepared. We would eat here again

Go for the Japanese noodles (ramen / udon) - they were pretty good. The macaroni cheese was however like a microwaved pasta pack. Not an overwhelming experience, but not a lot of options in Te Anau.

There were only 6 Japanese dishes to choose from. The udon noodles were ok but the two donburi were edible but had burger patty for beef and precooked chicken .Average prices for each Japanese dishes were about $12.Coffee was average too.ĺ

Had the unfortunate pleasure of dining here and ordering a Japanese curry, thought it may be ok as it was run by asians and they might be able to prepare it properly. I should have been suspicious when it arrived about 3 minutes later, the same time it takes to heat food in a microwave. Well i think this is... More
