An amazing REAL Italian pizza! The best pizza I've had in New Zealand! (I'm Italian so I could say I know something about pizzas)

We caught them on their last night of the season before shutting down for a month. Our 'proper' thin-crusted pizzas were $20 each, reasonable for generously topped 12" plates. By all accounts, it may even be better next season when a new wood fired oven is installed!

What can I say - the pizza is just great and they are kind enough to open for dinner a bit earlier (around 4:30 when the oven is ready).

We had 2 pizzas takeaway which was a little on the higher side of price but you definitely pay for what you get! Wonderfully delicious and would happily recommend to all. Great service and friendly staff!

The restaurant offers a wide range of Italian food - pizza, pasta, meat dishes - at reasonable prices. We found most restaurants in NZ to be a little more expensive than we're used to and this one was on a par with others around the country. That being said, the portion sizes were generous, the food was very tasty and... More

It was a pizza! A good pizza! In new zealand! It had it's price but it was worth it! If you are in te anau and look for a really good pizza and not one of those bad ones from pizza hut or dominos I would totaly recommend to go to this place. Excellent.

Really fine freshly prepared pizzas and a good choice of wines. The service was most welcoming and friendly so it's not surprising that this restaurant had been recommended to us. I would recommend it.

Had the most authentic pizza outside of Italy in the tiny town of Te Anau. It was Saturday night and the place was packed for a good reason. Expect a long wait, but the pizza is worth it.

My wife and I visited on a cold June night when most of the other local restaurants were closed because the tourist season has closed down in Te Anau. We started with minestrone soup - a great hearty starter on a cold night - really a meal on its own. Then pizza each - too much for me so they... More

Rest assured, I wasn't expecting such good pizza 20.000km from Italy. We tried their gourmet pizzas and they were simply excellent. Service was also quick and the staff is very friendly. Best I could have had after a long, long day!
