After a terrible experience at Moose restaurant we then chose here. Atmosphere pleasant and welcoming, tables occupied but room for us. Had a pleasant meal of chicken with chips and my husband had pork ribs. Food fairly typical of what you find on most menus but reasonably priced and cooked fine. Portions reasonable without being excessive.

We arrived after a trip out all day , and decided to have just a main course. The area where you sit is comfortable but not crowded, food arrived we watched it being cooked. It was individually plated according to the type of food you were having, staff attentive and pleasant ,food arrived asa good portion and very hot which... More

The service was fine but the food was based on catering 30 years ago. The bruschetta was laced heavily with balsamic and it was impossible to taste anything else. The side salad with the main meal looked very tired (between the dollops of balsamic). The vege burger was no better than OK and had far too much beetroot for my... More

Loved the gas fire that looked real and threw out a great heat. It was very cold outside and this was a fantastic place to discover... Had one of the burgers - great. A work colleague had the Luxmore burger - it was bigger than ben hur....he eventually got thru it.

we had just arrived back from Milford Sound wanted a quick bite before racing on to Queenstown. Both outside and in this restaurant has a very fine appearance. Service was a little sluggish. Our meals were “quick” - a hamburger and fish and chips. With a diet like this it is difficult to describe the dining experience. Overall, a generally... More

We arrived in Te Anau keen for brunch and then on to Milford Sounds. We were drawn to Bailiez and were very impressed by the lovely fire and beautiful decor. We did receive quite a cool reception and felt that we were not particularly welcome. But enjoyed our Eggs Benedict and decided that as we had only one night here... More

We chose this place because just about everything else in town was closed for the winter. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, if a little dated, for a cold writer evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very, very average. I ordered the lamb shanks. They were just cooked enough but still needed a little encouragement off... More

2 eggs, bacon and toast for $10 you can't really go wrong! Dad had the pancakes and they were great too. Good coffee and quick service
