This restaurant is hard to find but well worth the journey .... it's at the end of a tough looking street. It's very intimate which means it's small. I don't think it holds more than 30 guests at a time. This is fine, expensive dinning. You are treated very well to great food while a real fire... read more

I was with a group for a reunion so we ate early (didn't even know there was a bar upstairs which would have been nice). Unfortunately the beautiful roaring fire was so hot & we did keep asking to open the door a few times which the waitress objected to. She was a sweet Irish girl but didn't really get... More

Intimate atmosphere with devious food and warm inviting open fire place. Enjoyed a mini seminar there with set menu that provided for varied tastes.

It must have been my lucky day when I stopped in on the off chance The Bunker had a table. They did, and I had a simply outstanding dining experience. The service was first class, and I felt looked after by the staff. I had the Paua as the entree which was done to perfection in a beautiful sauce, followed... More

Had a wonderful meal with my wife and son. We had the fresh fish special and loved it. Been a while since we had been back and found that it is as good as ever.

We went to The Bunker based on a number of good recommendations from friends etc and we were very disappointed. The room upstairs we sat in was far too hot with an unnecessary open fire raging and no windows open. The wine list was good and our waitress attentive. However, our main meals were delayed a long time without any... More

We had several friends recommend to us that we try The Bunker during our recent visit to Queenstown, and on the last night we headed down Cow Lane to try it out. Right from the start we could tell this restaurant was a bit special. It's underground and hidden from the hustle of the city, and we were greeted by... More
