Very nice

The Bunker is located on Cow lane, tucked away in the middle of central Queenstown. Its an icon of the city and mostly known for Apres Ski. However, we visited in the middle of summer and it was very good. Its not a large restaurant and this makes it feel a little special. In a separate part of the... read more

The food I have to say was fanominal. I thought they got me at the Ravioli Paua entree' with parmesan but the other dishes that came out were just as Spectacular. The Platter starter was Orgasmic, you could actually taste the freshness of the Seafood coming through and so many different flavors that all just blended perfectly together on the... More

What a great restaurant - one of our favourite meals on our Australian and New Zealand holiday. Had booked a few weeks ahead based on positive TA rating and reviews and were not disappointed - if anything, we are surprised it's not higher rated than it is currently. Food, ambience and service are all first class - nicely paced with... More

We had heard very positive things about this small restaurant off a back alley in Queenstown. We arrived a little early and were the first couple in the restaurant. We both had monkfish for our main course and no starter, followed by the dessert of the day and cheese plate. The food was quite good, but the service was spotty.... More

The food was incredible, service was great. We went on first table so had 50% off the food, I would pay full price - just maybe on payday because it's not particularly cheap! Small restaurant so nice busy atmosphere when full. Wouldn't recommend for children.

Was really looking forward to this meal given the good reviews and last meal of our trip. Unable to get someone to take our order for 30 minutes after seating. Took another 30-40 minutes for appetisers to arrive and then plates not cleared for 20 minutes after we finished, despite the small restaurant not being full. Mains then finally brought... More

Had a blast with Kelly. He could ask what spirit we liked and sweet/sour/balanced and whip up a drink for us (some he made up) and we LOVED all the drinks! Cheers from Minnesota!

We have been recommended The Bunker by a friend of a friend who described it as a must do on your culinary list of things to do in Q-Town. We were not disappointed. From opening up our tab in the bar upstairs to great beers and cocktails by the fire we were then ushered downstairs where we could maintain our... More

We booked well ahead for our Christmas dinner. The Bunker has a set menu with several choices for this occasion and also two sittings. We took the earlier time and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. We arrived early and had cocktails in the bar upstairs before being shown to our table for four. The atmosphere is cosy... More

The Bunker is a small, intimate restaurant which offers a regular menu as well as the 'Taste of the South' degustation menu (all food and wine from NZ's south island). I told them at the time of booking that I required gluten free options and they said no problem at all. I was not disappointed. They altered most of the... More
