We chose The Bunker's degustation menu with matching wines and we are still taking about how delicious it was! Do yourself a favour if you are traveling to Queenstown, get in early and book yourself a table at The Bunker, you won't regret it.

We had dinner here twice, june 2014. Both times with a booking. The place is somewhat hidden in an alley, Cow Lane. Can be reached from Beach st or from Camp st. Nice , no windows, with a lit fireplace and nicely put ambiance lighting. Staff is nice and competent about the cuisine. First night we had beef, duck, new... More

It's no secret in Queenstown that this is one of the best places to be in town. Lovely bar, great food and service - this is the whole package. Book early!

Nice place to eat and tasty food, if a bit heavy on the salt, but again the traditional NZ service - friendly but unprofessional: left sitting for ages (why? The waiter should stay as you sit and ask if you want a drink! You wouldn't treat a guest at home like this!) 30 minutes before the first drink arrived but... More

This is our second visit to The Bunker, the first being in 2011. Once again, it is well worth the expense...it is quite simply a real treat going here. The food is excellent, the service first class and the ambience perfection. I had the venison this time around and it was superb...washed down with Vesper Martini's and a nice bottle... More

I've been to the Bunker several of times - once with just one other couple, once with just my husband and once as part of a larger group. I found that it worked beautifully with the smaller group of four. We sat upstairs and were basically the only ones there. We had excellent service from bar staff and waiters. They... More

We booked upstairs for a conference group of 15. While the food was good we were dismayed at the cost of the wine at the end of the evening. In particular the number of bottles charged! We chose nicer (more expensive) wines because our group members were not big drinkers and 5 of the group didn't drink any wine. When... More

We arrived without a booking and waited in the upstairs bar for about five minutes. The service was fantastic, an Irish Lady looked after us from start to finish and she was friendly, professional and knowledgeable throughout. The food was excellent and The Bunker had a lovely atmosphere. This was the best evening meal we had while in Queenstown.

A top restaurant on tripadvisor for a town usually carries with it a level of expectation, which in my opinion is rarely matched, and sadly this place is no exception. Perhaps living in London I am spoilt and my judgement clouded, but this place did not justify the price. Now don't get me wrong, the food was very good, the... More
