Fabulous Atmosphere and Food! Reserve early

We ate in the downstairs dining room which had a cozy fire and only 8 tables. We didn't go upstairs, but sounds like the dining area could accompany larger dining groups. I enjoyed the Beef Fillet with Shiraz jus with truffle mash, caramelized shallots, and mixed veggies. My husband had the... read more

A cozy restaurant snuggled in Cow Lane with a glorious fireplace and a dining room that feels sophisticated but welcoming! The dined on the Degustation menu which was divine-all the tastes from the North to the South of NZ! The lovely waitress was professional and informative. We have been here before when we were last in NZ and once again... More

We went for dinner on a recommendation from friends; and it was absolutely worth it. From an incredible cocktail at the bar to start with (suggested by the bar tender when I was being indecisive!), through to the matched wines with the degustation menu, the entire evening was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was delicious, with a thoughtful and well curated... More

Tucked away down Cow Lane. Went there on our 1st night in Queenstown with my husband, son and his partner, (who had been there before). So cosy, fire roaring. Felt special the moment we walked in because we had such a delightful young lady welcome us, she was charming, funny and very helpful, of course her Irish accent also added... More

We went there following other reviews on tripadvisor. Few of them were not so good recently but I wanted to give the place a shot! I will never ever regret it. The ambient and the atmosphere it is absolutely perfect for a couple, the fireplace it is a controversial factor. I personally really like warm and rustic looking places when... More

You need to find this on your navigation app before heading out. It's at the back of an alley .. We passed a couple of staggering drunks and a bunch of trash on the way. But once inside ... A charming little spot with a fireplace and a small but well-stocked bar. Only about 8 tables and a few bar... More

Ask Luck to make you an old fashioned. My god they rock. Best bar in QT to sit next to an open fire and sip on a well made drink. Keep it Bunker.

I did a lot of research on Trip Advisor before touring New Zealand - so we had some pretty good meals whilst out there. This place came highly recommended and it lived up to expectation. Both my wife and I agreed that this was the best one. The setting and atmosphere are great and the service was excellent, with a... More

It's a simple menu and no doubt what you are getting. The menu is literally "lamb" or "beef", etc. Great drinks. The Irish waitress who I inadvertently called Scottish because I can't discern accents is awesome and funny. A bit easy to miss this place as it is down a narrow lane which does not look like it leads anywhere...... More

I put some time into pre-visit research to find a special place for dinner during our trip to Queenstown. This one read like the perfect, rare upscale dining spot in a town full of otherwise "ski/resort-ish" good but nuthin' special restaurants. It was certainly very special and stands out in the downtown area. It is very quietly situated next to... More
