The best people/lake watching point in all of Queenstown

Where do you get good coffee and a decent breakfast in Queenstown? HERE! We loved it so much we went back every morning. Don't be fooled by the chill factor, ask for a blanket! This place is set right in the heart of the pier area and makes a good vantage point for people watching and overlooking... read more

Pier 19 is located on the waterfront. We had dinner there, I had the steak which was yummy. Husband had the belly pork which he really enjoyed. The service was very professional. The ambience was very relaxing & in a prefect setting.

Loved Pier 19, great way to start the day, had some lovely breakfasts here to set us up for the day. Friendly and efficient staff , good food all in a great position for some people watching, with a lovely view to boot.

Queenstown appears to be the adventure capital of New Zealand and must have more places to eat per head of population than anywhere else on South Island. Choosing somewhere is therefore a bit of a gamble. We had already had a superb meal the previous evening at the Lombardi in the Hotel San Moritz but part of the fun of... More

A group of old friends gathered at this restuarant for a lovely evening out. We all enjoyed our meals and the wine was pretty good too. My only comment would be that the waiter was a little staid and not particularly friendly. We had a good night however (and he went home before us!)

second time visiting Pier 19 - why - because its simply delicious. The staff are impressively versed in all the food/wine combo and you can trust their judgement calls. As for the Salmon, haven't had better (its a staple of mine). Thank you team.

Enjoyed a very pleasant meal here on our last evening in Queenstown. Had the rack of lamb which was excellent - also the best cheeseboard we have had so far in New Zealand. Service was little on the slow side but we were not in a hurry as very pleasant place to sit and enjoy the evening.

My wife and I had a hanker for seafood and our hotel suggested we try Pier 19. The seafood platter fro two, while certainly not cheap was absolutely fantastic. If I ever get to Queenstown gain, I'll head straight to Pier 19 for an encore. I can't attest to anything else on the menu but I will say the service... More
