Very tasty lunch

Seated under a heater which was great as very chilly outside. Lovely service, our waiter answered our wine queries very well. We ordered a small plate of breads, olives, chutney and goats cheese to share which was just enough for 2. Then I had the chicken whilst my husband had the blue cod, both... read more

Six of us dined there - they mixed up the meal orders resulting in mine being served after the other five were finished! I ordered the beetroot & Kumera patties which were dry & crumbly! They attended to Tour parties before us, then we chose a hazelnut biscotti with our coffee & it was rock hard in the shape of... More

Sensational blue cod matched perfectly with wine by our attentive and friendly waitress Meg. Gorgeous location, superb food, stunning service, all followed by an informative and entertaining cave tour.

Love the idea of $5 charge for wine tasting. I dont always want to buy when tasting and feel guilty that i should buy. Gibbston charge $5 which you get back if you buy a bottle. Now the wines are so nice you are likely to buy anyway. We sat at restaurant had wine tasting and a beautiful food platter... More

It was a nice experience to be visiting the winery and having lunch in the restaurant. The cuisine was mediterranean and well prepared. The wine cave was large. Served Otago wines with lunch. Staff was great.

We called in for a quiet wine and cheeseboard this afternoon. The staff were brilliant. Laura, apparently on her first day there, was outstanding. Great ambience. A must visit

We stopped in for a cheese and wine tasting platter on a late autumn afternoon. Delicious! Sat by the open fire and enjoyed a cozy respite from a long tramp.

Gibbston Valley Winery was highly recommended to stop for lunch on the way from Wanaka to Queenstown. There is a restaurant, a cheesery and gourmet food shop and a gift shop on site. We opted for wine tasting to choose a wine to complement our lunch in the restaurant. It is also a good way to try the local wines... More

Lunch for three was on the cards while wine tasting in the area. All three meals were well presented, had good portions and the wine matches on the menu were spot on. I wish I could remeber what we had, but it was all very delicious. The wait staff in the resturant were fantastic and looked after us well. I... More
