Good value in a great location

A short walk from the Sofitel will take you lakeside to this nice little eatery offering some tasty seafood. For about $30 US you can have a nice fish dinner including a beer. Service was great and reservations were not required.

After a wonderful cruise on the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, fish and chips seemed fitting at Finz Restaurant by the dock. Dined outside after my request was taken care of by friendly staff, and view was perfect of water activity. The fish and chips with a delicious "Blonde Ale" hit the spot. Price good, service good. Setting nice and was... More

Unless you're having an early dinner, there isn't much to see at a window seating as it's dark by 5pm in winter. We had the sticky pork ribs - not much meat on these. I would recommend the seafood platter - simply delicious and everything was fresh. Drinks wise, try the Fuzzy Kiwi for something different

Great Fish and Chips of the day, $20 for 2 pieces of Blue cod, chips and a beer/wine... You could not make this at home for the same price, what a great deal! Nice location, got to watch the Earnslaw leave dock and some of the action on the water, the Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return... More

A restaurant that really only had some character due to the staff from various countries. Good group. Food was average and could have been better. Wine prices were too expensive for the value. Paying for location rather than quality.

Me and my partner had dinner at Finz last night and it was absolutely lovely. To start with, there is a spectacular view overlooking the lake and we were seated right by the window. I had Fish Tacos to start and my partners had the Beef Satay Sticks. Then we shared a Sea Food Platter, it was epic. A perfect... More

Fish tacos for entree which we shared - just as well it was a larger serving than I expected. Very nice, tasty and fresh. Main I had the salmon - two pieces, perfectly crispy skin and opaque MR salmon - sensational. My partner had fish and chips (silver trumpeter) which was fantastic too. The service was good. The guy at... More

This was our choice for Easter Dinner. Sitting on the deck looking at Cecil's peak and other surrounding mountains at sunset was an experience of a lifetime. There were outdoor heaters and blankets provided if you wanted them. We were there when the winter was starting early. the Fish - n - chips was the night's special. It was a... More

The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were generous and delicious. We were dining with 2 young ones and they had menus which they were able to colour in while waiting for their meals. It was lovely sitting on the wharf and watching the happenings while we dined.
