This used to be our favourite winery restaurant in NZ (up there with Te Whau and Mt Difficulty) and we have eaten here many times during previous holidays in Queenstown. None of the entree dishes appealed so we chose the fish and pork belly dishes to share as mains. Sharing is encouraged they told us. The fish turned out to... More

The bistro is set in a beautiful courtyard location overlooking the vineyards. We asked for a fish and vegetarian version of the 'Trust The Chef Menu' which was obligingly provided. Every one of the four courses plus dessert were delicious and, at $120 including a glass of wine, was good value for the the very high quality and presentation of... More

Had a fantastic lunch at the winery. Our waiter suggested the Tust the Chef option and we went for it. Started with amuse bouche of blue cod ceviche. Followed by four courses and then dessert. We did the option that included dessert and glass of wine. Service was great. The restaurant was very busy, but staff took good care of... More

Now that Wills and Kate have gone and made this delightful retreat an international news, I'm sure a reservation will be essential! The "Trust the Chef" degustation menu was incredible. Other wineries tend to have incredibly intricate meals to pair; Amisfield takes delicious and fresh ingredients and prepares delicious courses that you would pick off a gourmet menu, and they... We were recommended this winery for lunch. Because it is the quieter season now, we took a punt and didn't book. Busy period, best to book. We were lucky we got a table inside but next to the bi fold doors.. We opened the bi fold doors and the sun came pouring in on that beautiful day. We decided on... More

Arrived without having booked. Situated next to Lake Hayes but no view of it. Staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable seats and modern decor inside. We were outside in beautiful autumn day sitting on wooden benches. Toilets perfect. We had a very tasty sharing platter and some samples of delicious and slightly unusual wines. Will and Kate should enjoy it.

The wine was wonderful! The service however was awful! We visited with my partners parents who were over from England and this was the first winery we took them too. I felt like I had to apologise for the experience considering we have been to so many winery's in New Zealand and all have been great. The man behind the... More
