We had a nice dinner at Rata. Contemporary, innovative dishes. We ordered a la carte, but I think it would be better to get a degustation menu (there was none when we visited). Attentive service, nice settings. Limited wine list.

We Enjoyed a very pleasant 2 and 3 course lunch today; $28 and $38 respectively. Tried the non alcoholic basil, mint and lemonade and Spring Spritz (Elderflower, Soda and Mint) cordials, both $10. Starters were a rare Sirloin beef dish and a white onion veloute (a white onion soup poured over little mushroom ravioli parcels). ZBoth presented beautifully. For mains... More

Food and wine by the glass choices were excellent. Great value for a 2 or 3 course lunch in a most delightful setting. Very friendly service. They were also able to make commendations for a no onion/ garlic meal so a fodmap friendly place.

One walks into a stylish modern space and is met with a friendly welcome and from then on you feel in very safe hands. The service is pleasant smiles, friendliness and also knowledgeable - they must have eaten everything on the menu! The food is the star of the show and the ingredients are prepared to bring out the flavours.... More

The lunch is I think one of the best deal in town for the quality of the food. The outside little terrace is quiet enough, even with the road next to it, it was perfect! Service is what you are expecting for this kind of place.

Melt in your mouth meat. Fantastic flavors. From appetizer to dessert we were in heaven. At the end of the meal we wanted to do it again so we could try every different dish offered. This is a can't miss dining experience in Queenstown.

We went to RATA, they came highly recommended. I have a need to eat my food cooked, not with everything with a fish, mussel or oyster, and most not cooked. Hard meal for me to enjoy, but probably not the restaurants fault.
