This is a 6-7 minute drive out of Queenstown in a residential area, but well worth it. The food is absolutely first rate, different from the usual tourist menu, served by one of the owners in afriendly, laid back but efficient manner while the other owner cooks - brilliantly! Very informal, unusual, relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere . Great wines, great food and excellent value for money. No views, but if you're concentrating on the food, wine and conversation who cares? Highly recommended.

Delightful

We loved Vknow! We went on our first night in Queenstown, so were a little tired from our travels but the host was so lovely and welcoming we felt immediately comfortable. The food was fantastic, ambience awesome and price was on point for what you get. Highly recommend!

Attending a conference in May and wanted to get away from the noise so sort this place out via ta. Great find. The food was lovely and a large choice of wines. Very friendly staff and a management happy to have a chat in a nice relaxed setting. Will definitely return when we next visit Queenstown.

Up the hill to Glenorchy, beyond the Heritage, about 2.5km from Queenstown center - so a taxi or a good walk home after a drink. Pizza, al a carte and a great wine list. Starters and desserts looked good too. Service was real good and the wine knowledge tops.

Our host recommended this place, and we decided to go for it as it was within walking distance. The staff were very friendly, and it's apparently popular among locals. We tried their scallops florentine for starters (very very good), mushroom risotto, and fish of the day (this was rather average).

We were recommended to Vknows for its great informal and unpretentious atmosphere. When we visited it was mainly locals dining which is always a good sign, and also possibly because it is situated a couple of miles out of town. The food was very good and the whole evening was most enjoyable.

Best meal we have had so far in NZ! A local person strongly encouraged my wife and I to try Vknow. What a find! The restaurant is small and located outside of the main tourist area of Queenstown, but it is worth the effort to find. From the moment we walked in the host, Danny, could not have been more... Me and my two daughters had dinner here recently after several days of travelling. What a treat to have a delicious dinner , in such a quaint atmohphere and be waited on by such attentive and friendly staff.

Friendly staff. Great home cooked food and excellent wine. I had my best meal in 3 weeks of travelling in Oz and NZ here. Recommend the venison. Excellently cooked. Yes the decor is a bit, well err.... They have corks lining the walls. But this is easy to ignore as everything else is superb.

My family & I have been "Queenstown local" for a while & finally we decided to try here after reading the great reviews. From the moment we walked in it was like we were with friends. We're definate foodies but wine isn't our strongest so the way the wine list is laid out is great & the owner was on... More
