Description: This is a 6-7 minute drive out of Queenstown in a residential area, but well worth it. The food is absolutely first rate, different from the usual tourist menu, served by one of the owners in afriendly, laid back but efficient manner while the other owner cooks - brilliantly! Very informal, unusual, relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere . Great wines, great food and excellent value for money. No views, but if you're concentrating on the food, wine and conversation who cares? Highly recommended.

Real quality kiwi food. Relaxed and comfortable. Real people no fuss. These guys pick their staff carefully. Everyone knows what they are doing and its like dining with a group of friends. But trendy its not! Danny knows his wine and beers. Lizzie understands how to cook food. So for something outside the nine dots and the crowds take 7... More

Popular with the locals and guests at the local hotels due to its location it is always busy so book. It is the only restaurant in the location so it means a long walk or a taxi to get into town. The decor is Kiwiana which whilst popular 10 years ago seems very tired now. I would avoid Tuesdays as... More

We stayed at the Tanoa just across the street from Vknow, so were very keen to try it out after reading all the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were definitely not disappointed! Our mains (lamb shanks and venison risotto) were absolutely divine, would have gone for more if I could've fitted it into my stomach! We decided to have some desert... More

I came to this restaurant as part of a group of 7. The waiter/owner seemed to be knowledgeable on the wines/ drinks, which is always good if you're not a wine connoisseur yourself. The restaurant is small in size and doesn't have a lot of tables, however we waited approximately 30 minutes for food as it was "busy". The food... More

We were recommended Vknow by some friends and were so thankful we made the effort to go there. The staff were very welcoming and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. The service was amazing... As was the wine! My partner and I shared a garlic bread and a creamy spaghetti which was amazing and not too creamy yet flavoursome. We... More

This is a lovely little restaurant just out of the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. This is a casual restaurant where you can relax and enjoy the great food. We had such a lovely meal that we returned for a second night. There is a lot to choose from. The homemade pasta is very, very good. The owner Lizzie is... More

Dined here in a large family group covering three generations; Vknow ticked all the boxes; service, quality of food and wine, price, and atmosphere. I chose the seared wild venison on portobello mushroom risotto, served with steamed green beans and it was superb! While Vknow is a little out of town, there's plenty of free parking available and it's certainly... More

My partner and I dined twice at Vknow during our stay in Queenstown and both times had fantastic food and wine. We’d had the restaurant recommended to us by friends and family and they were spot on. An unassuming venue with a compact but interesting menu, Vknow has an amazing wine-by-the-glass list that gives you the opportunity to sample some... More

Came here because of the good reviews and it is a crazy busy time of year so wanted to stay away from the city centre. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is decorated tastefully. Our waitress came over and call me old fashioned but i do not like to see long hair (very long) not tied up when serving... More

Myself and 2 friends went to Vknow for dinner on new year's day for my last night in Queenstown. We chose the restaurant because it's just down the road from where i was stäying, so it saved us driving into town- i'm so pleased with our decision! The whole place is decked out really nicely, and the staff were friendly... More
