Firstly, Basil our waiter, what a champion. Kids loved him and insisted on a photo with him before we left. The meals were great. Kids meals came with drink and ice cream. But could not tell you how huge the desserts were. The crème brulee was the size of a small dinner plate - first time I have not finished... More

Had meals there a few times over a week. Friendly staff, good sized meals, what more can you ask for.

We were hunting in pack formation, without a reservation, we were not finding much prey to settle or thirst for ribs. Then, the glowing star atop the street, led us to our final destination. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Pete, and he preceded to wine and dine us! Excellent food, unreal service, I will go again! Thanks Pete!

Stopped in here for dinner one night and it was lovely. Only 5-10 minute wait for a table and staff were very friendly. Ordered the Lamb Shank which was amazing. The sauce tasted brilliant, It was mushroom-tomato. My partner ordered ribs and they were HUGE. He just made it through them. Staff always on hand for queries etc. Seriously great... More

Went to Lone star as it looked busy and was well rated. Thought it might be a bit of a British wetherspoons with average food... However food was really good and portions were huge, just what you need after a days on the slopes. Well situated in the centre for a few beers after. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

We visited Lone Star as a group of 7 (including my boyfriends parents that were visiting from the UK). Our server was a man who goes by the name of Pistol Pete. He MADE our experience unforgettable! He took our order with out writing anything down (that was starters, mains and drinks for 7), he made excellent recommendations and made... More

My partner and I had to eat here twice during our stay in Queenstown because we absolutely loved it!! The steak and garlic butter sauce was delicious and the chocolate pudding is a must!!
