Location and variety. The food was good for such a remote area and the services excellent. Booked an epic flight to Queenstown ere as well to save the 5 hour bus ride.

This place is the only bar/restaurant in the area - so if you want to eat out you have to go here. Thankfully we didn't have to eat here as getting a drink of hot chocolate took long enough. Prices are expensive but I suppose that goes with the remote location. They didn't clear tables after people left so it... More

Don't expect any great food here, its a fairly ordinary cafe. It's all about the location, so sit by the window or get something to take away, and get outside.

We stopped in here one day to have nachos and beers, and enjoy the scenery. The nachos were average, and the service wasn't great. That being said, what a great place to just sit, have a cold beer and enjoy the incredible scenery!

lots of food and drink to choose from in a very relaxed spacious setting. Staff are very helpful although it was a bit of a trek to the toilet

As the only place to eat, they have a captive audience. And despite very nice folks there, the food is just average. Too bad, as you'd hope after getting all the way out there that there might be a better option for grub. But you will have a decent meal with friendly people!

Good location but very tired interior and haphazard service. Staff seemed unsure of their roles. Toilets need a real overhaul

Being the only cafe in Milford Sounds I expected the food to be average. Arriving late , the place was full yet a waiter called George quickly seated us and was efficient attentive and friendly throughout. We ordered Green Lip Mussels followed by Beer Battered Blue Cod & Lamb Shank. Being from the UK living in Asia for the past... More

Worst cafe in New Zealand; restaurant kitchen area dirty, had to wait 40 minutes for a simple coffee, then we were asked to hurry as they wanted to close. Milford Sound may have lovely views but the village is a dump.

We were visiting Milford sounds for the cruise and decided it was too far to drive back to Te Anau to get food so we thought we would get some food at the cafe. The service was fairly quick (considering the queue was quite long). The food was fairly basic - the steak sandwich came in nice bread and the... More
