It is what it is

There are pretty limited options in Milford Sound, in case you haven't noticed. The place is okay- nothing crazy. Prices are a little high, the food is mediocre, but the service is good.

Food & nice coffee available at Milford Sound. We enjoyed a muffin & nice cappuccinos. You can also purchase some nice photos from this place, and book for the Southern Discoveries Boat.

A great place for a bite to eat and a few drinks either before or after your Milford Sound cruise. It makes it easy to soak up the extra views whilst enjoying the food.

I would strongly advise bringing your food from Te Anau rather than eat at this "cafe". This place appeared to be the only one in Milford which was disappointing. The young man serving us could not be bothered at all. He looked bored and made no effort. The food was terrible, I asked for a toasted sandwich but he said... More

There are two options for food in Milford Sound. This is one of them. They have good beer and pizza. It's a nice way to spend the evening after a long kayak trip. They had a pool table, too.

We got a coffee and tea and some light snacks. Service was efficient and relatively quick. The Staff were nice too

It was lovely place to have breakfast having travelled for two hours from Te Anua were ready for breakfast. The food was good along with cup of coffee and was reasonably priced considering where it is located.

It is the only outlet in the Milford sound. and has very limited food items available like Pies, sandwiches, muffins etc. We had Pizza, It was yummy but too expensive. Well cant complain as this place is far away from the main city. More options for food would have been good.

Very disappointing lunch - we came off the morning cruise and was looking forward to some nice lunch only to be served by a rude foreign person working behind the counter, over the top prices and average food. Not much choice and certainly not a çafe'- more a canteen where there is old food that doesn't look very good. Given... More

As other reviewers have said, this is the only game in town. The cafe in Milton lodge is really just snacks. Having said that it is a lot better than most in that situation. The menu makes an effort to provide interesting choice, and there is a good selection of wine and beers. The setting is more bar/canteen than restaurant... More
