Great Indian Food

We booked the front room for my mothers birthday last year, it was fantastic and everyone loved it, great place for a small to med group of people. My husband and I have eaten there several times as a couple we have had great food and a good price normally, on our last time there the food just... read more

Our last meal here was quite bland and we haven't been back since. It was cold in there too. A lot of the choices tasted the same.

Had not been to Bombay for sometime and decided to get some takeaways. I ordered two butter chickens (one med and one mild), aloo gobi and vegetable kohlupuri. The sauces for each dish tasted the same. The med butter chicken certainly had no extra spice or heat to it compared to the mild dish. I found the curries lacked the... More

Great tasty fresh food, authentic and well presented decor. Clean and a good menu- best Indian food in New Zealand. Try the prawn masala chocolate naan and mango lassi dessert especially! The food and experience is as good as being in India itself! Friendly knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended!!

We (4 people) pop into the restaurant at 9:45pm, hoping they will still accept us because of our late arrival. They accept us, we quickly ask for a mixed of starters and some curry as mains. The chef's choice but not too spicy, it was marvelous, everything was just good, sometimes really nice. After 3 days of walks around the... More

My partner and I loved our second visit to Bombay Palace. If you arrive before 6 pm or go on Wednesday evenings, all curries are only $14, which is a great deal for this delicious Indian cuisine. The down side to our meal this evening was the club music blasting through the restaurant; it didn't fit the experience and it... More

We ate here on our last visit to Invercargill and really enjoyed the food. When we entered this time we could not believe our eyes. The restaurant is under new ownership , has been completely refurbished and what a great job has been done. The restaurant was packed and we were lucky to get a table. The food and service... More

I tried their mango chicken with some kashmiri nann today, and it was absolutley delicious. I almost cried it was so good. The meat was rich and tender, with wonderful subtle flavours and creamy textures. Highly recommended Very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere too.
