One of my favorites place to go and eat. wonderful ambience and great vibe to the place. Our 11 year son picks this place for brunch on a Sunday as treat. That is good recommendation as he can be a fussy eater. The menu is very good and a good selection to check out and try.. reasonably priced and well... More

We only ordered 2 entrees to nibble on. My glass of wine was left empty for nearly half an hour. Our plates were not cleared until we had stacked them ourselves and pushed them aside. Waitresses seemed more preoccupied with folding napkins and chatting than serving customers. Our drinks were finally refilled. Killer playlist.

Our third visit to The Kiln- as good as ever. Delicious food, generous portion sizes and great value for money. Service on weeknights consistently attentive. Tried another ILT property, the Saucy Chef, and was very disappointed. The Kiln is our go to for a casual pub dinner, with great food, when we are in Invercargill.

Food was lovely, service was a little lacking. Had to get up and ask for more drinks and no one came and asked if our meals were ok. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend.

I dine at The Kiln a lot, because the orrechiotte main is one of my all time favourite vegetarian dishes ever! The arancini is OK, but not great. The staff and service are wonderful, the venue is one of the most attractive in town, and most of the entire menu is fabulous. However, if you go on a friday or... More

The service is very average and so is the surroundings with a 'pub' smell to greet you as you enter. TV screens and patrons' there just to drink makes for a distracting couples dining experience. The Pork Belly ($30.90) was flavoursome and tender with a great sauce but the large pile of potato mash (and I love mash) was flavourless... More

I have been here for dinner and lunch when I have visited Invercargill. The service was excellent. Extensive menu and well priced. I had the Eye Fillet and it melted in my mouth. Beautiful taste with the various sauces and vegetables. Washed it down with a Church Rd Cab Sav Merlot. Enjoyed my meal and the efficient friendly service.

As the title says, the baked blue Cod dish made at the Kiln was Fantastic. Great blend of flavours that really works well with this fish. Staff friendly an helpful during my 2 visits there so far. I travel on Business and ALWAYS co to the Kiln now, just to eat this amazing dish. Well done chef!

Called in for a business lunch on a recent trip to Invercargill. A nice warm, welcoming atmosphere & friendly, attentive service. We were particularly wanting Bluff oysters but they were unavailable due to bad weather but the manager said he would call an associated restaurant to see if they had any. That's pretty good service I think. They didn't so... More
