i read about Starbucks Invercargill is the world's southern-most Starbucks, I'm expecting an awesome seaview lookout or some sorts but apparently it's located in town with no view at all. Just a regular Starbucks joint with a sign post showing distance to some countries. Nothing special though... read more

Went here for lunch with work colleague and a new staff member was being trained and the more senior staff member frantically teaching, making coffee and food. Another staff member wandered past at 1 point but announced she was going to put her feet up leaving the show to the 1 new and 1 experienced to flounder with +12 people... More

Went in here for a coffee on a cold day whilst exploring Invercargill. My wife and I thought that the coffee was awful, very burnt and bitter tasting. Staff spent more time chatting to one another and friends sitting in café than they did paying any attention to customer service.

The staff here is very friendly and my chai was perfect! When I told the barista I was from Seattle she was a bit chagrinned because they are behind on getting the latest things but I didn't see anything to apologize about! There was a nice selection of food and the space was clean and well maintained. They have a... More

I have to say that I deplore starbucks in general! But not the invercargill store. I witnessed the staff assisting a homeless person by giving her whatever it was she wanted for a nominal amount of money. I know this person is homeless & is well known in the community services sector of Invercargill. The staff could easily have sent... More

The coffee wasn't the best and was average, to hot to drink, had to wait ages for it to cool down. Service was poor at best. Stuff talking/gossiping to a friend(s) over the counter. Un professional with people waiting for drinking and having to listen... wasn't quiet voices.

Ok so I love my coffee, and I love starbucks, but the Invercargill version of this great establishment needs some extra help and work to get it up to the standard of the best of the brand. Starting with the disinterested service - how about smiling and interacting a little with your customers. I would never call the staff rude... More

Good old starbucks coffee and drinks excellent. But sadly the food on offer is pretty ordinary, it looks good in the cabinet but can often seem not the freshest. ? maybe pre frozen? Generally grab a takeout drink, would not dine in. Staff young, with not a lot of customer interaction but pretty quick service.

Mice surroundings and the spareribs were really well cooked. I would go back to the restaurant on my next trip.
