I was in Invercargill for work, went for a bite to eat here and was very pleased i did. Place was very busy due to the start of the Burt Munro but was served quickly. Food was great and the beer and wine i had was very good.

After dining in the Franz Josef Ale house the year before, where the food & service was mediocre, we were a little sceptical about dining at Speights Invercargill. Invercargill after Christmas was quiet with not much open, so decided we would give it a go. Service was Awesome as was the food. So much so we dined here 2 days... More

I went to Speights for a quick lunch the other day with my friend's family. The food was really nice but also huge (I took my Gnocchi home with me and managed to make 3 more meals out of it). The waitress was nice enough and drinks were offered often. All in all it was a nice time.

Good service from friendly staff who were keen to please. We ordered some bar snacks and they were served in good time and came piping hot. The place has a nice atmosphere and the decor was up to date, clean, and inviting. We have been here twice now and both times came away feeling satisfied.

I have eaten is at least 3 different Speights and this one was the best. While in New Zealand I had eaten a lot of seafood chowder. This one served by far the best, but do not order a large bowl. A small bowl is very large and for an entrée do not attempt to eat it all or you... More

We went here for our granddaughters 18th birthday at her request. The service was excellent, efficient and served by happy staff. The meal was superb with a great selection of dishes catering from the young to the seniors. We will be back.

The wait staff were nice enough, and menu substitutions seemed to be no trouble. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was good food when it arrived. Better than average but not blow-your-socks-off amazing. Solid 4 stars =)
