Yum char

The restaurant has been extensively renovated however the service is slow and poor. You are made to feel like you are a bit of a nuisance. The yum char is tasty however the yum char in mornington is just as good if not better and a whole lot cheaper. $9 for a little bottle of Montanna Sauvignon... read more

Its a busy place. I ordered the special which was a sole sandwich with salad I think it was about $8-9. What I got was a small piece of crumbed sole between two slices of something like Tiptop sliced white bread, with a couple of slices of tomato and a bit of ice berg lettuce inside!! Really?!!? The sole was... More

My family and I decided to try the yum char at Golden Harvest. It was extremely good. The food was fresh and there was a lot of choice on the menu .The service was very quick and friendly. The resturant was busy and I can see it is a favourite of the locals. It was the best Yum Char I... More

We booked a table for 12 on a Saturday night. The restaurant had 4 other tables occupied. Mains arrived before starters, some starters never arrived and one main took 1 hour 20 minutes after the starter. Drinksvwere bought to the table unopened. We had to pop the bottles off the beer ourselves. We had to chasd up 5 dishes ourselves... More

So we booked a table for a group of 12 in advance. The service we experienced was as if we had just turned up. It's an easy concept, entree, then main. We had one person have their entree and main at the same time.... Before anyone else had anything! We had an entree served when everyone had eaten their mains.... More

If you're looking for the best "Yum Cha Daily" in Dunedin, Golden Harvest Restaurant will never disappoint. Affordable price, excellent service plus authentic Chinese dim sims! Located right in the central part of town. Prawn dumplings and custard buns are the "must try"! Will come back again!

Fabulous home baking, this café is really popular! I found it better sitting out in the boulevard area as it was quite noisy inside.

Harvest cafe (not to be confused with the Chinese one next door) serves the freshest food you can get in Dunedin. The toasted cheese rolls (no additives) are a Dunedin icon! And toasted variants are -mince, corn, and,in season, oyster. Not the best coffee in town but at least it's hot.teas are really good (hot!) their sandwich selection and hot... More
