Vic's has freshly baked breads and pastries. It's a popular eatery for brekky (breakfast) and lunch. The caffeinated beverages are well crafted. When we came, the place was packed with kiwis. We had the chicken panini ($12 NZD), lamb burger ($15 NZD), bacon muffin (a strange food), afghan cookie (crumbly), and coffee ($4.50 NZD). Food was fresh and delicious. A... More

Our first morning in Christchurch, we gave this place a try, as it was just around the corner from our hotel. Coffee was good and food was alright.

i tried your Spanish eggs today, which is a favourite of mine but unfortunately your Spanish eggs made the bleh list. Under cooked eggs which came out snotty, under seasoned tomato soup as it wasn't reduced enough to obtain that rich flavor, it shouldn't be soup and three pieces of chorizo. Best part the bread, however $16.50 is the most... More

We visited Vic's while in Christchurch due to reading the good reviews. We had breakfast there and coffee, we were really impressed with the range of delicious looking breads and other bakers delights! The only thing missing was the daily news papers to read. We will be back there when we visit again.

Loved the setting and atmosphere. Great choice for breakfast and wonderful fresh food. The coffee is the best and you can't leave without taking away a loaf of their home made bread. The staff were brilliant and that is rare these days. We miss the place already.

This is one of my favorites for breakfast in Christchurch. The hollandaise is delicious, and the coffee is really good.

My husband loved the coffee and we both had great breakfasts. Not cheap but nothing in NZ is these days. Wish we could return.

We were directed here via our hotel owner as a good place to enjoy a breakfast prior to starting our adventures. Located near the clock tower on Victoria Street, the atmosphere was relaxed and buzzy, with shared tables inside and out and switched on staff. Great place to kick back and read the papers whilst enjoying a hearty breakfast, often... More
