Fast friendly service. Awesome food. Very nice beers on tap. Entree and Main were both very nice ... no room for dessert unfortunately :-)

The food is great, location is very nice with the outdoor terrace to eat in the sun looking at the old house or the school building being renovated on the other side of the street. Large choice of tasty local beers: the waiters are of great help to direct you to something you like.

It was clear that the locals came here for lunch, so a good sign. We had the corn fritter (very nice) and the chicken burger (interesting), as well as the banoffee tart (too much cream on top) and almond slice (not too sweet which was good). I couldn't finish my slice and the wait staff wrapped it nicely for me... More

Driving round the City Center of Christchurch now and trying to find somewhere to have lunch is somewhat of a challenge. In doing this however we did find The Coffee House in Montreal Street. It really is a lovely welcoming cafe with friendly staff and efficient service. Its obviously a favourite spot for the locals and worked very well for... More

once a month the ladies in our office choose a nearby cafe to have lunch together. We came here this week to try the food and see the new renovations. The service was excellent, the staff cheerful and helpful. I chose the corn and kumera fritters served with streaky bacon and a side salad. The food was delicious and each... More

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely meal here recently and the service is top. We both ordered the same meal - the fish - and my friend absolutely loved it. I thought it was okay and wish I'd followed the waiter's advice and ordered the lamb. My friend loved her dessert and I really enjoyed my affogato which was... More
