We were very excited to be visiting this place but were so let down. Service was disgusting,we had to ask for the table to be cleared! The cafe was nearly empty and the staff sat at the bar and talked loudly amounts themselves... We even had to go over and ask to order some cake, which was accompanied by a... More

Hope we caught them on a bad day, poor service and very average food waiter should go elsewhere if he's not interested in customer service. Such a shame as we thought they had changed with the new owners.

We first came across the honey pot from its Facebook marketing. On our first visit we were impressed and had great meals, but since then we've been a few times now, at different times on different days and each time we've had a different experience. Currently it's an underwhelming place to visit, which is disappointing as I feel that I... More

My husband and I thought we would try the Honey Pot for a late lunch as we had heard it had not long re open in Sydenham Christchurch and as we work close by we would give it another chance, WOW from the moment we entered we were welcomed by the most lovely waitress. The service was quick, friendly and... More

We arrived at around 7.30 on a Saturday night and the place was moderately busy, but not over-full. The new place has a nice ambience: modern, but cosy. We were served quickly and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Our entrees arrived within about 10 minutes and we were eating mains I believe within about 30 minutes of ordering... More

Took over an hour after ordering to receive a cup of coffee. We had to remind them 5 times, they just didn't care. We were a large group (10), but we were one of only four tables on an average Saturday morning. Food, value and location were below average for Christchurch cafes.

Cold bacon, poorly cooked eggs and greasy unclean food. Felt disgusting after a few mouthfuls. Has really gone downhill since it has moved. Lunch used to be fantastic back when it was located in town. Big thanks to the waitstaff for allowing us to walk out with no payment. It was already overpriced for eggs benedict at $20. Props for...
