Good food

The food is good, but the service is mixed. It's hard to get someone's attention after you have placed your order. We have returned a few times because we like the food, but are always frustrated by the wait staff.

Over 45 minutes between ordering and needing to leave for an appointment, so advised the staff and were assured this would be OK. Week night and not full but when the large party that arrived after us ordered well after us * and * received their meals before us, it provided a sense that we were less valued.

We have never eaten in here - we always takeaway. We nearly always order the Kerala Fish and the Malai Kofta. The amount of fish is generous - especially for the price - and is always fresh, perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. The Malai Kofta (a quite sweet dish made from Paneer and nuts, is very good too, although the... More

Food is well made here, and this is a long running Christchurch Indian establishment for good reason. The dishes with house-made paneer are very nice - one example being the khadai paneer. Naans are very nice. The only minor issues would be the service and design of the building. There does seems to be a slight shortage in staff at... More

Good Indian food. We got take away and tasted very fresh. Very nice and good value for money. Notice they have combos available instore, so will keep in mind for next time instead of paying everything individually.

We stopped here for a quick meal after a long day in the car and it was perfect for that. The menu is the same as almost all other NZ Indian restaurants but that's what we expected and wanted. It's fresh, the chicken pieces moist and chunky, the naans very nice and the service excellent. A huge tour bus arrived... More

Visited with my husband one evening during the week. Nice decor, clean & good atmosphere. A mixture of families, couples & business people were eating. We ordered poppadoms & chutneys to start. Best poppadoms I've ever had! For mains we ordered the Handi Lamb & Chicken Vindaloo. Both very tasty, the lamb was very tender & both cooked to our... More

Work decided to our Xmas do here this year - we were a largish party so they tend to put out entrees on the table while the main course is buffet style, with rice and 3 different curries - food was okay and flavoursome - I tend to like their takeaways better though.

Dined here as a family group recently, the restaurant was not overly busy for peak time on a Saturday night. Staffing appeared minimal with only one waitress visible and in spite of the low number of tables occupied we had to make our own way to our table and had a long wait before orders were taken. We were not... More
