Lovely lunch spot

Always friendly, with a varying menu, best Savoury Mince in town! Could do with a few more sweet items for the sweet tooths like me, but it's one of the consistently good coffee spots in town.

We came here for breakfast. Service was terrible, food was bad (deep fried corn fritters), watery bacon. We had to get our own water. And to top it off, we were over charged. Will not be returning.

Friends of ours walked in first and began moving tables to accomodate us, was rudely told off by the lady behind the coffee machine who made us feel very unwelcome( accounting for the loss of the last star) I know how annoying it is when customers do this and had I walked in first would have asked but still no... The cafe hides behind an imposing fence - but don't be put-off. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast for about half the price of our hotel and found the fence allowed private al-fresco dining.

This is my partner and I's favorite cafe in Christchurch. We absolutely love coming here for a weekend brunch, any time we can make an excuse to do so! Their brunch and lunch menu has great variety, and having eaten my way through most of it over the years, I can honestly say there is nothing I haven't loved. Would... More

now this was a while ago but I didnt know trip adviser existed back then. I came in for lunch and ordered a steak which I did enjoy. However I saw that there was a plum smoothy on the drinks list which I was intrigued about because I like plums and who doesn't like smoothys? so I ordered one and... More

The quality of the food was great,We ordered French toast and some hot cakes and boy were they good,The tastiness of the food was matched by the fantastic service of the girls who all 3 who interacted with us all engaged us in conversation that wasn't normal restaurant prattle and made the dining experience even better.

We stumbled upon this cafe and decided to try it out after seeing the sign that read something along the lines of "Best Eggs Benedict... We are not Egg-xagerating!" Goodness! They weren't lying! Best Eggs Benedict that we ever had! Please do yourself a favour and try it! My husband ordered something else and I remembered it was good too...... More

Order Cofee, banana shake and a bagel with cream cheese take away as we didn't have much time. While waiting more then 15 minutes for my bagel I realise I've been charged $14 for a bagel with cream cheese. Not sure how can anyone charge that much money for a piece of bagel with cheese. Once I've confirmed with stuff... More

Everytime i have been here have got the eggs benedict with bacon. The best I've had in christchurch yet, consistently good, been here about 5 times now. Have also tried the fruit salad, and eggs on toast. All delicious, i love the food here! Also the waitress is really nice and likes to have a good chat. Will come back... More
