This restaurant was a real surprise! It's like a tapas bar offering small and medium-sized plates of treats to share. Everything we had was FAB! The Japanese Fried Chicken and the Blue Cheese Polenta Fries with Truffle Aioli were our stand-out favorites. Unfortunately, the Vegetable Tempura had already cooled by the time it was served, and I like my tempura... More

We had the most delicious Japanese based small plate dinner. The food service was well paced, delicious and beautifully presented. It had a very broad wine list with some unusual wines. The bar staff were excellent offering advice and allowing a taste before we bought. It was noisy when we arrived, but it was a convivial noise. The dinner area... More

Our daughter-in-law ventured her opinion that we were a tad too old to be frequenting what she thought was a young persons' place, but we went ahead and booked for a Saturday night meal. It was good, and we didn't feel out of place. I was able to tell the waitperson that we'd been there once before; in 1962 to... More

This intimate place is everything...a delicious restaurant, EXCELLENT drinks, awesome sounds with beautiful people. The staff is so chill and attentive. You'll feel like they've been your friend for some time vs a stranger. They have the most diverse and knowledgable drink menu and bartenders in New Zealand, from what I've experienced. The people come with an amazing energy. You'll... More

Delicious food, cocktails and really cool atmosphere. Can get very full in this place in the evenings, so get in early to get a booth and enjoy some good sounds!

We were there for weekday lunch, had some stunning small tasters that we shared. Very good food and the staff are always friendly... we often go at night to listen to music and have a few drinks... only complaint is the food is a tad on the pricey side for the size of the portions.

The breakfasts here are fab with the usual suspects of eggs benedict but also an extremely tasty kedgeree. Evening time has a great atmosphere, the Kumara Fries as a bar snack are a must-have! A great place to socialise with friends or just a quiet drink as a couple.

I had a very enjoyable evening with Friends at the Monday room. The bar staff are extremely knowledgeable and assited me in making a brilliand Pinot Noir choice. The food was also excellent. Lovely snakes to compliment the Pinot. I will be back

This cool bar keeps drawing us back for great DJs, and a good wine list however, we always leave swearing never to return. Why is this? The VOLUME OF THE MUSIC. Despite good quality earplugs I leave with my ears ringing. You can't talk to anyone -except in the toilets. Dancing with the smokers isn't really that much fun either... More
