Quality coffee

We enjoy the consistently beautiful tasting coffee and sitting upstairs, watching the world go by. The one blemish in their record for us, is that the service can be patchy. At times it's a little less friendly than it could be. We always enjoy our coffee though!

Had to wait 50 minutes for breakfast then gobble and go! Not the first time either. At our table everyone had a previous experience of slow service at Procope.

-the one next to the fitting room- A friend and I recently had breakfast here. I had the eggs benedict with bacon and she the salmon. It was beautiful. Was served on nice hot plates with wonderful wait staff. We sat up stairs in the sun looking over the road watching the world go by. I shall be back

It was long past coffee time when we finally got off the bus from the airport after and early morning flight and walked into Procope (Victoria St). The coffee arrived quickly and was hot and well made. We particularly liked the cups the coffee was served in. The cinnamon pinwheel scone was also a delicious and welcome addition.

Procope in Victoria St has just reopened after earthquake repairs. The food is very good and the decor is great too. The coffee is really excellent. But a 45 minute wait for food when much of it was from the cabinet is not acceptable. There seemed to plenty of staff none of whom were in the slightest bit interested in... More

We weren't very impressed with this cafe given it has such a high rating on this site. The service was indifferent at best. The coffees were alright but not spectacular. For us service is really important and we just didn't feel very comfortable here. Maybe it was just an off day for our waitress but not the best.

Called in to this cafe on a Sunday morning over Easter. It was doing a brisk trade which is always a good sign. The staff were welcoming, friendly and obliging. The coffee was well prepared by the barista. An appealing range of cabinet food is on offer and the menu selection also appeared very good. We enjoyed some mango and... More

Group of three for brunch. Our coffee was great and food delicious. The potato cake instead of hashbrown on the cooked breakfast was really nice for a change. We were very happy and are looking forward to our next visit.
