New Year's Eve dinner in lovely surroundings. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the food was delicious. We started with a bread platter which was served with a beautiful green dip that was an excellent match with the bread. Main course a delicious steak (not too big as we chose the lunch version.)This was paired with nicely cooked vegetables.... More

We came across this pub. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was good. They even answered any tourist question we came up with. We had a great time.

Went for dinner, wine was good just a nz merlot had the steak, it was cooked beautifully bit pricey but worth it. Went for lunch with colleagues all of whowm have different budgets, it seemed very pricey for lunch and the choices were not that great. We ordered pizza which was nice, wedges and a platter, quite dear really. It... More

So... we went to a friends 40th B'day last night. When we arrived, we thought it to be great place. How wrong we were! 1st, we asked for a special drink which none of the "acclaimed" bartenders could make with an excuse that the company which makes the ingredients for the drink changed it and they could not perfect it.... The room is comfortable and well-designed, staff friendly, and the lunch menu offers many tempting choices. Settled on the salmon fillet with barley risotto and was not disappointed.

A date night dinner before a concert, friendly service, lovely food, was a little more expensive than we expected, but we ordered to our budget and was very happy with our choices, my husband had cheek of beef, I had a burger. Dessert was shared, a disassembled apple crumble, bit too arty for my liking, but we were advised when... More

Ned and Henry Shiraz - a rare find in Christchurch and as lovely as I remembered; risotto cooked beautifully, service and venue warm on a cold winter's night and not too noisy. A treat! Prices were good too

Long time since been here to eat but won't be going back. Service was great but the food disappointing. I had a small leg of duck, no sauce, on top of a pile of undercooked potatoes. The vegetables were little more than 4 petite cubes of beetroot. My partner had the lamb which was OK but not a generous serving.... More

My partner and I went to Elevate for Valentines Day and wow, it has gone down-hill since we last went just over a year ago. The food was ok but we could not believe the lack of service. After finishing one drink and part way through our meal, we asked for the drinks menu again, which we received. That was... More
