Who knew oatmeal could be so decadent?

We had breakfast here and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the excellent coffee. I had the porridge topped with semi-whipped cream, poached fruit, dark cane sugar and this crumbly gingery topping- it was by far the most delicious and decadent oatmeal I've ever come across and so generous I... read more

We had breakfast here and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the excellent coffee. I had the porridge topped with semi-whipped cream, poached fruit, dark cane sugar and this crumbly gingery topping- it was by far the most delicious and decadent oatmeal I've ever come across and so generous I couldn't finish it. My husband's house breakfast was equally huge. A... More

Came here because of the good reviews so was a bit surprise what we got. I ordered eggs Benedict salmon spinach for $17 I didn't want the bread so ask if they could take off the bread yes the can do that and can't substitute so for mushrooms add an extra $4.00 the bread was the biggest thing on the... The thing about the co-op is that it is unique in Christchurch for its vibe, and almost all of that vibe comes from the coffee, the cool building and the brilliant friendly staff which are second to none here in ChCh. The food is about the same as many other well established cafes, nothing to shout about, but pretty consistently... More

Had a delicious flat white with colleagues with a delicious snack each that we shared. It is always a busy place as it is a delightful place to go for a coffee or a meal. As it is next door to my workplace I should go more often. A really good place to go great atmosphere and really good and... More

Coffee is always fantastic. The cooked food (ie) eggs florentine can be average depending on the rush/chef. Food is a little pricey but very good quality. Fantastic rustic atmosphere.

Went here for late lunch a couple of weeks ago. Kids had already eaten so they just had the fruit smoothies (served in old school glass cream bottles) and we had the eggs bene with bacon. Was busy but service was prompt at the counter. Drinks and eggs bene came out quickly and were well cooked. It is a nice... More

Came here with a few friends and kids. Was quite crowded but managed to secure a pair of couches. Coffees/smoothies ordered. Coffee is ok, smoothies really really good. Also ordered breakfast which came out incredibly fast, I'm talking within a couple of minutes. Perhaps most of the rest of the patrons were eating cabinet food or slices, but nonetheless, super... This place has a great atmosphere and it was packed full when we dropped in for lunch. I must have looked quite lost looking for a spot to sit when one of the staff members spotted and then directed me to an available table. I was quite appreciative when he even got 2 glasses and a jug of water for... More

Good breakfast and excellent coffee (so much so we bought a bag to take with us - they grind their own roasted beans to order).

The other reviews are correct. This place does have ATMOSPHERE!! I don't know what it is but it was a great place to have lunch and it had a lovely feeling. As well as all that the food, the coffee, the staff & was excellent and the whole cafe was a great experience. There is also a small shopping area... More
