I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions, sometimes for dinner, sometimes for a glass of wine and sometimes just for a coffee. It is consistently excellent! The food, no matter what I order, is cooked and presented just perfectly, the atmosphere is wonderful - music volume conducive to diners wanting to have a conversation without shouting -... More

We had a really lovely meal here in great surroundings and with good service. Lots to choose from and a good wine list. Took my student nephew who appreciates the fine things in life and is always hungry and he enjoyed it also, beautiful food and plenty of it. Will definitely return next time we are in Christchurch.

Went for Sunday Brunch/ Lunch with in-laws. 2 breakfasts, sausages looked anaemic, bacon ok. Pork sausages and mash, sausages were colourless, could have done with being browned off a little bit more. I had fish and chips, a small bit of fish that was dry, fries were ok. Dessert was awesome, highly recommend the dark chocolate one.

My wife and I wanted to take our friends out somewhere nice to say thanks to them and neither of us had ever been here. It was beautiful. Great food and attentive service. We did not walk away hungry. Will be back for sure.

We enjoyed a celebratory dinner here with good friends, The food and service were both excellent. As it was a special evening we took our own wine, which was not a problem, and we did appreciate the waitress advising us of the surcharge. The only downside would be that the bartender did not know how to make a frozen margarita,... More

We were on business and taken to this restaurant by friends - last minute booking which was fine - it was a Monday night so no problem. The food was divine and service very attentive and not intrusive. Would love to go back soon.

Decided to go on a Friday night and it was very busy service a little slow food good. Nice decor is around the corner from everything in Merivale but it is worth the little walk to it
