Favourite restaurant in Christchurch

I have been to many restaurants in Christchurch, and after numerous visits I have come to the conclusion that St Germain is the best. From the relaxing ambiance and attentive service to the exceptional food, they truly have ticked all the boxes. Could not recommend enough, 5 / 5 stars from me.

We booked for a Saturday night with another couple. The service was polished, coats taken, water and menus offered. The entree of scallops with crayfish bisque was exquisite but my husband found it to be too small. We had different mains: steak, duck, and the fish. The steak was small, the duck was repotedly delicious but again, too small and my... More

As a family we have, I must admit, become slightly obsessed with degustation menus and St. Germain's was one of the best we have been to in the world! Fantastic as you had enough to try but didn't get lumped with a massive plate of the dish wasn't up your ally. High price but well worth the money. Just make... More

Had a really fantastic meal here with my wife. We had the Fete de la Bastille menu, a 3 course meal with a glass of French red wine for $55 each. Great value and really wonderful food. Had the opportunity to speak French with wait staff most of whom were French. Great service

Have been a couple of times and the food has always been top notch. Friends went recently and had the degustation menu with wine match and they couldn't rave enough about it. I'm going again with a large group at the beginning of August and really looking forward to it.

My friend and I dined here for a special celebration and we were both really impressed. The restaurant is quite small but with plenty of space between the tables, nice simple ambiance, and appropriate music. The bread was amazing, a light baguette, very tasty. For starters I had scallops with a crayfish bisque, served over a delicate and delicious citrusy... More
