Excellent meal.

Excellent service without being overbearing. Entree of prawn in black ravioli was superb, eye fillet med. rare a bit too rare for my liking but very nice. My friend had veal crusted mustard - both delicious meals, Not cheap - but very nice!

My family of three had the eight-course degustation at the end of Dec. 2015 with some wine pairings, and had a fabulous time. Food was excellent and the service equally as good. I liked the intimate ambiance, the variety and freshness of the dishes, the history of the place and its owners, and the at-times fun serving of the meal.... More

Excellent french food. We had the escargots and scallops to start then the duck breast which was perfectly pink and the cassoulet which was a bit too deconstructed but perfectly cooked and the herbs and seasoning were exactly balanced. Very good selection of French wines. The best part of the experience was the service. Timing is everything and they got... More

We had the 5 course with wines surprise menu - and what a wonderful surprise . The two brothers run front of house in the most friendly and professional manner. Each course was presented and explained beautifully; we had a one of the best french dining experiences had. We will certainly go back when in christchurch again.

I booked this for my partner's birthday and it did not disappoint. We do quite a few tasting menus in Britain and what I loved about this was the balance they struck between a professional looked after service and a warm unpretentious friendliness - surprising for a French restaurant (yeah I said it :)). We ordered the 8 course tasting... More

I went here with my wife and a couple of friends. We shared a couple of entrees and I even got my wife to try snails for the first time in her life. I really like how they were presented on a little mushroom with garlic foam. The reason we came was to try the steak baked in salt. It... More

Our group all raved about this traditional French restaurant in Christchurch. The service is excellent and the team are happy to advise suitable French wines to match the dishes ordered. The food was superb and everyone at our table commented on the flavours and quality of their selections. As one of our group said "we have been here several times... More
