What a view

The visit to Brancott is worth it for the view alone. Perched on top of a hill overlooking the vineyards it creates an ideal environment to enjoy the wine and if you fancy it, some delicious food too! The outdoor terrace on a sunny day is somewhere I could sit all day and enjoy the ambiance... read more

We arrived 30 minutes late for a pre booked tasting as the GPS sent us to the old estate! When we arrived they were more than accommodating and we were still able to do the Mastery of Marlborough tasting ( a bargain at $18 each) we watched a short video and then entered the private room. Julie our guide was... More

Great place to break journey from Kaikoura to Picton. These people are super friendly, super nice, deliver fabulous food and wines and care for the local falcon population to boot. We all (family age range 4 - 50yrs) had a blast. The walk up the hill from car park is a little steep if you are in a hurry for... More

It's very difficult to decide which wineries to visit in this jam packed wine growing area and we were glad we decided to listen to the suggestion that we visit Brancott Estate Heritage Centre. The location stunning and worth the steep walk from the car park if one wants to "earn" one's lunch or you can call for the shuttle.While... More

We didnt eat. We wanted to see where the wine we drink at home came from. We drove for ages through the massive vineyard until we reached a car park at the bottom of a large hill. Luckily a free shuttle bus arrived at the same time to take us to the Heritage Centre at the top. We were ushered... More

We weren't going to visit as we were rather 'vine yarded 'out. However it was recommended and we went Just before lunch, luckily we got the last table as all others were reserved. We opted for the light bites, goats cheese bruschetta and pate, so good, and a trio of Sauvignon. And the view just made it.

This place is not so easy to find. To simplify your trip, here are the GPS coordinates : S41° 32.289 E173° 50.734. The cellar door/restaurant is situated on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards at 360°. Stunning view! All visitors are welcome to an extensive tasting of Brancott wines. The staff in charge of these tastings know Brancott's products... More

The elevated restaurant has vines as far as you can see and is quite spectacular. On the day we visited they were training one of the rare NZ Falcons so that added to our trip. Lunch was really good and both the Venison and Chicken mains went down really well. Both meals were put together thoughfully and were well presented.... More

The buildings has been carefully structured so it nicely blends in the terrain. And the views are certainly one of the the most magnificent in the area. This makes Brancott Estate as probably the best lunch option in your cellar door visits. Try pork or venison, chicken pate or chocolate cake, can't go wrong here!
