Tasty meal in historic hotel

Enjoyed our meal very much here. We had recommendation for a place that was much more expensive and wanted something more reasonable. This fit the bill nicely. Good food. Friendly service. Situated as part of a 1900 hotel. Reservations probably recommended.

Had a lovely meal on Easter Saturday. The meals are quite big, don't order too much, you can always go back for more! Very nice staff and great service.

Whilst waiting to be served we noticed a couple of young lassies dining. One advised the waiter her steak was raw in the middle and she asked for it to be served medium. He actually argued it was okay! bad attitude. They took the meal away, and re-presented the same dish with the same steak re cooked, and the rest... More

We had a work Christmas function at Hotel d'Urville. Nice pre dinner drinks outside, then a smorgasbord meal. The food standard was very average, generally disappointing. The marinated artichokes were full of a sandy grit. But heavens the bowl of mussels and clams were stinky and near rotten. The flesh was dessicated and foul. When I complained to the head... More

I dined at Hotel D'Urville last night with a friend and absolutely wish I hadn't. The moment I walked in the door I knew it wasn't going to be great as I had expected it to be by the way I was greeted by the two bored waitresses. I then learned they were the least of the problem and I... More

The three of us dined while staying at the hotel. The food was innovative, plated superbly and delicious. The excellent wait staff supported the food, with well delivered advice. I can personally recommend the smoked lamb, it was to die for.

Stopped by around 3 pm, and was directed to a bar where great service in terms of vine tasting was offered. I had lovely seashells buzzara-mediteranean style. Came back next day for dinner. Great assistance from Tony the manager, Jettio who knows his vine and Wayne the chef Cannot recommend it enough!

We dined after the wine festival in February. Very comfortable yet classy and beautiful dining room with a very attentive, yet relaxed staff. We dined at two other fine dining establishments in Blenheim and this was the best. A number of local folks at the neighborhood market in Blenheim told us this was a great choice for a nice meal... We tried to pop in the night before, but they were fully booked. Glad we popped in the next day to secure a reservation. Service by Jetti was awesome. Very professional. Meals were lovely and we never felt rushed. Both enjoyed our entree and main. Had no room for dessert. A small restaurant so do try and book a table... More

Good selection of well cooked and presented foods, supported by a strong selection of wines. Professional friendly service, if occasionally inconsistent. Highly recommend.
