The 2nd time I visited Tusli in Petone was a awfull experience and is the reason i will never go back ! From the second we walked in the door the was no greetings given no smile just a blank stare as if to say "what do you want" from the middle aged man behind the bar. At that point... More

I gave a second chance by visiting this restaurant. When i entered the staff was more interested in wiping their glasses than greeting people. Staff have a look on their face as if they are donating the food. I ordered fish masala, naan and rice. The fish was overcooked and chef merely added a ready made tin of tomato sauce... More

We made a big mistake when we ventured to eat at Tulsi. The waiter welcoming us in was very pleasant, but a big arrogant man sitting at a table with friends - presumably the owner - shouted at him to seat us in a different place. We were pushed into a tiny space in the window. Very uncomfortable, and very... More

Waited 70 minutes after having an order taken before entrees arrived. Mains followed shortly after, but after that length of wait it could've been Logan Brown and I'd still have given it 2 stars. Shame really as Tulsi used to be the standard for Indian in the city.

Haven't been here in a while, and now I remember why..... Although the service was acceptable, given there were only a handful of diners, on a normally busy Saturday evening, I was surprised at the lack of diners.... Unfortunately you cannot live on reputation alone, and in this case the food was disappointing to say the least. With so much... More

I used to come here 13 years ago when the place first opened, and back then, it was excellent. We used to go there for lunch regularly. I find myself back in Welly a few years later and it was time to head back to what I thought was an old favourite. No dice there sorry. This stuff seriously tasted... More

Excellent Indian food with good service. Friendly, obliging and lovely spacious dining area. This restaurant is also on Bartercard if that helps.

We ordered two takeaway curries with coconut rice and naan. Curry tastes like they just opened a tin of curry sauce then added to some poor cuts of meat . Breads were dry and burnt and the rice was dry and had onion in it ...yuk. Food court indian is better then this rubbish. We love curry but could not... More

Tulsi have a good reputation for their food, which I was keen to try out. Travelling alone I was pleased to see they offer takeaway. It was exquisite, I think one of the best curries I've ever had. The takeaway deal is excellent value, including rice and naan, and the portion size generous. It was ready in 10 minutes.
