Love the vibe

I go here every Saturday morning when I'm in town. My favourites are the egg dishes - best poached and scrambled eggs ever. The mackerel hash and risotto dishes aren't bad either. Coffee always good and excellent service. I have also had dinner here a few times which has also been excellent. Floriditas uses fresh, quality ingredients with an interesting... More

We had breakfast here. For $14 I ordered avocado on their homemade bread. it came out with 2 slices of toast and 2 rock hard quarters of avocado placed on top. The avocado was the focus of the dish and it was completely inedible as it wasn't ripe. The coffee was very average too. We spent over $40 on breakfast... More

After hearing so many good things about Floriditas, I was excited to finally go in and try it! Boy were we disappointed. The service to start with was pretty poor. Then I ordered a hot toddy, a lemon, honey and ginger drink with a shot of whiskey in it. They charged me for one lemon, honey and ginger, AND a... More

We LOVED this place and visited on several occasions for brunch. Each time was the same as the first: service, coffee, food and atmosphere were all excellent. Would definitely recommend this place.

This review is not merely a complaint. Please 'hear' me out. Food and service of the place was good the first time. So, we went again last Saturday, and we were served by a girl with long straight, light brown hair tied back in a pony tail. She was seriously unfriendly. When she first saw me, she looked shocked and... More

Came for breakfast, the eggs were nicely poached and the hollandaise sauce had a beautiful distinct lemon flavour. Ham off the bone had a delicious flavour and the salmon was very good quality.

Always a loved favourite and I always go when in Wellington. So took mum and Miss11 there while on our girlie get way in Wellington. Mmmmm. I thought breakfast was expensive and they wouldn't swap tomatoes with bacon and avo and charged us 6 dollars for it which I thought was mean. But the waitress advised us of that. Poached... More

Floriditas lives on in the crowded Wellington cafe scene because it is always reliably yummy, with great service. Our family each have our own favourite meals here, and the menu keeps a nice balance between seasonal change and old favourites. The baking is delicious (caramel iced ginger cakes...yum!). The service is consistently good, with waiting staff visible and available but... More
