Catch Sushi Train Courtney Place, Wellington

The sushi train is something you would want to experience at least once, if you like sushi, sashimi, tuna, oysters, salmon etc and want something a little different in the way your food is served. A big oval conveyor belt holds saucer sized dishes of food. It goes around and you pick up the plate... read more

Have visited a number of times and the sushi is always good - and it is a nice novel feature having a sushi train! Personal tip - go for the salmon sashimi!

I've been eating here for years which is probably why I hadn't thought to write a review now. But despite its unprepossessing entrance (although you can see through the window how full it is) it is always my first port of call if I'm in a hurry to see a show or want a light meal washed down with some... You always know what you're getting here. It's not great sushi but it's decent, consistent quality paired with authentic Japanese service. The kids love choosing the food off the conveyor belt and we can be sure of getting them fed and out the door again without spending too much time or money. This is a basic staple in our repertoire... More

This placed used to be much better, but lately the sushi tastes absolutely stale, dry and tasteless. The edamame and wasabi were practically grey!! To add insult to injury, they've put prices up!!! Wasabi sushi on Cuba st beats this place hands down for sushi train joints in Wellington. This place seems to let their food sit on the conveyor... More

We popped in Saturday night and brought a bottle of plum wine with us to wash down the yumminess that this sushi train provides. It's un pretentious and good value. As a vegetarian I felt very well provided for. A real treat when visiting Wellington.

This is not the best sushi place in Wellington, but its certainly a brilliant eat it and beat it with friendly staff and an obliging chef. Although menu food is available the sushi train is the draw card. Sit down and select from the range of colour/price coded plates. Grab the wasabi off the train and mix it with the... More

Walk in sit down and the waitress is by your side. We call in once or twice a week and the hot saki is a must on the cooler nights. Fresh and tasty with excellent presentation. Always feel better when the staff smile at you.

We have been going to this wonderful restaurant for almost 2 decades. It has always delivered the freshest seafood with great service. We often drive in from Kapiti Coast for a Catch treat. It is such a healthy option for dining out and you get to choose your favourite plate or try something new. Sushi is about palate so it... More
