This restaurant has been around for years, and still delivers an upscale bistro experience, good food and great service. We've become somewhat addicted to their good value Sunday night roast special - $45 for a roast dinner, dessert and a glass of red wine. Although the portions of roast meat are sometimes a little less than generous, the meals are... More

I like almost all the food that we ordered, especially the lunch special - T-Bone. It was flavourful and done perfectly as we asked - medium. I will definitely revisit if I am in Wellington again.

My husband and I choose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this wonderful restaurant and we were not disappointed, the food was fabulous! What would have made this a 10/10 evening would have been if the wait staff made us feel a little more welcome. The young lady who meet us at the door was "very efficient" and I am... More

My husband likes and has eaten at this restaurant quite a few times and thought I would love it so took me there for a belated birthday dinner while we were visiting Wellington. The quaint house setting is lovely but on this occasion the food was certainly nothing special. We shared a calamari entree which was tender and moreish and... More

There are no bookings at this restaurant. We arrived about 7.15 pm on a busy Friday evening and were seated immediately. After 7.30 the restaurant became significantly busier. The French Onion Soup was the star of the meal, was served piping hot and was flavoursome, just as I remember from years gone by. I will be returning on a cold... More

A buzzy, friendly place to eat. Had just arrived in Wellington and we were delighted to find that this bistro didn't take bookings and happily found us a table even though it was crowded. Our meal was delicious and well presented. Would recommend!

Tonight my partner and I enjoyed a delicious meal here. This place does not take bookings and we arrived at 6:30pm and were easily able to find a table. We did notice that the restaurant gets quite full around 7pm. I recommend arriving before 7pm or after 8pm to ensure that you are able to get a table. The service... More

We are here in NZ again, fifth visit since'93! Loving it and this restaurant we found just taking a walk. Remembered it and had to enjoy it again. The starter of calamari was a hit. The lamb shank, onion soup, fish of the day, pistachio-lavender ice cream. All excellent!!! Service great and charming! Next trip...we will eat here again...maybe today... More

One of the nicest expensive restaurants we've tried in Wellington, in a little historic house just around the corner from all the skyscrapers. They have a $20 lunch special that is a great value, and $45 3-course Sunday dinners. Intimate and classy.
