We have been going there for a number of years no and the "Boulcott" has never let us down. The meal was superb, as always, and Sam the barman treated to us to a special night out. He really knows his stuff! The creme brûlée is something to die for. We go there and order no other desert. Both of... More

Great little restaurant with a wine list to die for. We had weekend much 3 course set menu, very simple but totally delicious. The staff very nice and professional. Another experience that's mad me want to return to Wellington sooner than later.

After reading all the raving reviews, we were very eager to try this place out. This is an over-due review, so unfortunately I don't remember what we ordered, but then that's saying something. I'm not saying the food wasn't great, but it was missing something special. To us it was a decent meal cooked with fresh ingredients - but then... More

It's been a couple of years since we last dined here, but it was good to go back again. Rex was in the kitchen the night we were there, so the food and its presentation was excellent. WE both had the calamari starter, and then I had the beef short rib and my partner the fillet bearnaise, and we loved... More

I've been living in Wellington for five years and have tried/wanted to visit this restaurant on various occasions but the lack of bookings has always put me off. This Saturday we decided to just rock up and wait for a table and arrived at 6.30pm. We were asked to wait at the bar while a table became free which is... More

This place was highly recommended as one of the best restaurants in Wellington. However, I found the menu a bit uninspiring and the food quality in terms of flavour and presentation only average. The prices were well above average though, which suggested to me if was living on its reputation. I also found, as a solo female diner, that I... More

This restaurant is in a small terrace house on Boulcott Street in Wellington and does not take bookings. It usually fills up by 6:30ish. Food: The food is rich and delicious. It is pricey but well worth it if you can afford to splurge more than you usually would. Both times I've been they catered to my gluten and dairy... More
