Lunch was delicious. I had crumbed calamari and smoked duck ham followed by lemon and passionfruit vaucherin. Companion had honey parsnips and calves liver - excellent.

lovely food, great service and worth while. I certainly will try this next time for dinner. We had lunch at 1pm and there was only a few other couples there. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Certainly will go back

The Boulcott Street Bistro remains one of our favourites in Wellington. Nice atmosphere but without being too formal. I once again had the Fillet Bearnaise and as usual, found it perfect. My partner had the Canterbury lamb rack which she seemed equally as happy with. A nice wine list and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Will... More

A simple concept: A choice from the blackboard of 4 alternatives for each of two or three courses. We had pork belly followed by fish of the day (snapper) with a wonderful spicy carrot and ginger puree followed by frangipane tart. The great thing here is that ingredients are allowed to speak for themselves: perfect cooking with no fuss. Coupled... More

Stopped in for dinner while travelling. An excellent wine list. I had the steak as a main. Perfect. The Creme Brûlée for dessert. Absolutely amazing. I shall return, with more people next time.

We had the most outstanding dining experience at Boulcott Street Bistro recently. The food was absolutely superb in every way possible - taste, texture, presentation, aroma and the staff fantastic - getting everything just right for a perfect dining experience. They were able to read the mood of the dining party and tailor specifically to each parties individual dining needs.... More

I had been in New Zealand for 2 weeks before I found this little slice of heaven. Great wine list, nice cozy ambience, attentive service, and the food was just perfect. For appetizers we had goat cheese pate, salmon, and the soup of the day, but for our main course we all had the rack of lamb, and all agreed... More

Boulcott Street Bistro is one of the best restaurants in Wellington. We had the most delicious bowl of soup that was so good we asked for the recipe and then went and bought the bowls from a great shop called Moore Wilsons. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Whenever we have a special day to celebrate we tend to think of Boulcott Bistro. We have never been disappointed with either the food or service. They do not take bookings so would advise to get there early when they open if you want to be seated straight away otherwise you can wait at the bar for a table. Definitely... More

The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The food is good though can be expensive; but look for their regular special offers (eg. 3 courses for $T$) and you get great value for money.
