This is probably for wine buffs .. Meals are secondary

We decided to try this restaurant on a recent visit to Wellington, based on a recommendation from our hotel concierge. I have been here several times ... I hasten to add; as a result of other people choosing the restaurant, because I'm afraid that I wouldn't do so myself. I find that it's always the same here. Food that is pretty good but served by snooty staff who are distant and never deign to smile at their mere customers. They... More

Had a great meal here and they have an extensive wine list. Had the lamb and it was delicious. Had several red wines and the waiter was very knowledgeable & helpful in the selection. Would definitely go back.

Took my best friend there for a birthday treat on his recommendation, and it didn't fail to please. Extensive wine list (always such a bonus), nice atmosphere and excellently presented food from a grey menu. Not the cheapest place ~ even with a *special deal*, but within the range for such good food and service.

We had made a booking for 3 people at 8.30pm. One of our party had arrived a few minutes early and had bought a bottle of wine and was sitting at the bar having poured the self a glass. When we arrived on time and said we had a booking the maitre'd pointed to an empty table and said that... More

We visited this restaurant last night and this was my first visit. I will certainly be visiting again soon. The service is impeccable and they really care that you find what you really want. If you like your wine, this is your type of place. If you dont know your wine, it is your type of place as they really... More

My partner and I escaped the cold tonight and enjoyed a delicious dinner here. We were able to book here and upon arriving were seated promptly. This place seems to be popular with the after work drinks crowd and they have a good tapas menu for those wanting a casual snack. We were impressed with our entrees. My partner liked... More

We went on a Monday night and it was pretty quiet as you would expect but what I didnt expect is the indifferent service we got compared to the many other times ai have been here.I asked for a steak medium and my colleague asked for well done. Unbeknownst to us both, the waiter got these mixed up and my... More

This was a massive splurge for us but very memorable. HUGE winelist with something for everyone especially if you have deep pockets! Option of a half or full carafe with many of the wines was nice. Fresh oysters and devine tender squid.Very attentive service. Place was very busy.

A good dining experience. The wine list is extensive and there is a wide range for all tastes. The menu has many gluten free options and the 6 attendees all enjoyed their meals - well worth a visit
