You can always count on this place to treat you to something special. The desserts are stunning... We've worked our way through most of them. Today we had an almond croissant and ze French breakfast... Excellent value and very fresh. Coffees here are also very good. It's a good place to take kids as there is an area with books... More

Lovely place with great service, including lots of genuine French accents. The cabinet food is incredibly good and the menu items are not bad either. Coffee is pretty good as well. Expect to spend a bit when you come here, but we usually find the premium well worth it. *Tip* If you're with someone, get them to grab a table... More

Lovely little café amongst light businesses with super coffee and the regular eats plus some nice French breads pastries. Wish we could visit more often! Nicely set up with a nice group of French speaking staff that were most attentive and pleasant

This French themed eatery is worth locating in Kaiwharawhara, Wellington. There is a bus stop immediately outside but it's a bit of a walk from the city, although that's not a bad thing as my lunch time meal was calorie laden ++.The casual dining area was full but tables turned over quickly. You order at the deli with a choice... More

Had brunch at La Cloche this weekend and was very surprised at how bad the food was. The rosti with fried egg was dreadful - an egg sized lump of gluey potato with a slice of tomato and no obvious cheese flavour with a fried egg on top, a small salad garnish and three thin slices of baguette. Those eating... More

I visited La Cloche last Sunday. Although I am not a great fan of some seafood I decided to try their Seafood Casserole. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't care much for mussels but all the other seafood was great. The sauce was not heavy and the pasta noodles were not sticky. Overall a good dish. The only thing I... More

There is a wide selection of French pastries and small cakes to choose from and some delicious drinks. The food, drink and service was excellent but there was not much room between tables.

I came here a couple of months ago with my Father, he wanted to take me as I'm a foodie and he is a French teacher and had been previously for work functions. I also went again today with my sister and friend. Really love this café, so cute and the atmosphere and environment is so frenchy, not to mention... More

La Cloche is out of the city - so we made a decision to drive there and were not disappointed - still as good as we remembered. Cabinet food as well as a blackboard menu - with a good offering. A French atmosphere in Wellington - worth a visit

We have eaten lunch at La Cloche several times. The menu is interesting, the coffee wonderfuk, and a good wine selection. Prices are average for Wellington lunch offerings. I especially recommend the interesting salads.
