Last night my partner enjoyed seeing two bands here last night. We didn't have dinner here, but enjoyed some drinks. This place is well patronized by hipsters, however, don't let that put you off. The atmosphere is really fun and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff were friendly and not too cool for school. The staff were especially... More

A great place to reminisce about the 50s, 60s and 70s, the old style telephones, stereos and tvs. Simple but lovely food, lunch and dinner. They also have bands playing at night.

If you are ever stuck in a city on a Sunday night, it's hard to know what to do. This fantastic little cafe had one of the best jazz groups I've ever heard (they play every Sunday) and I had one of the most enjoyable nights EVER. Great staff and music 7 nights a week.

I work right next to Meow and go in occasionally when I need to take someone out for coffee. I've also had some food out of the counter a few times. The coffee is consistently horrible. The coffee is always room temperature and very weak. The staff generally seem bothered that they have to serve me. The counter food..meh..average. It... More

A strange little place tucked away out of site in a corner of the city that is oft unseen. Haven't been in there in daylight hours I must admit. Hilarity ensued after four of us went and ordered dinner. It would have been for more enjoyable if they had explained we needed to order sides... Steak came for two of... More

Awesome place to eat. Great retro decor and music to match. The food was awesome. Would recommend to all. Had a great visit here with my wife.

Not my type of place, in terms of decor, but a warm, welcoming cafe, nestled in by Little Beer Quarter. Great for coffee and brunch.

We went the one night we spent in Wellington and spent $5 for a comdey show featuring about 6 different comedians. The place was in a back alley like a lot of undergroundish places in Wellington, rather neat! They are a bar at night, coffee during the day. Roomy with big windows and an outside patio of sorts....the comedy show was not... More

I randomly ended to this bar a sunday night, when it was a jazz concert. The musicians were not the most talented ever, but they could show some hints of potential and they knew how to communicate with the audience. Cosy, pretty, kindly, friendly bar. From the bar tenders to the bathrooms. Everything shiny and welcoming to come back. Don't... More
