Manaakitanga (hospitality) and Aroha was overflowing. The manager and his lovely wife were amazing hosts and their staff went out of their way to cater to our needs. I would refer this fine establishment to all my friends and whanau without hesitation.

I keep hoping this cafe will improve because of its stunning position but have truly given up. Went there again today for brunch at 1 pm. Menu says brunch available till 3 but they were not serving any more at 1. Lunch menu is expensive and awful. Waited 20 minutes for water and glasses, 30 minutes for a really bad... More

So after leaving Welly on my travels, I had this one song in my head I'd heard from Karaka Cafe. It was like my NZ tune. I took to google with no avail, desperately searching song lyrics I'd been humming to myself. Keri from the Karaka Cafe took it upon herself to check over her playlist and short of singing... More

Food was lovely, drinks were very expensive. Strange to see mostly foreigners working in a Maori styled cafe. No utensils or crockery given to us when we received our platters which was poor. Was significantly over charged but this was rectified in the end. Nice but nothing to write home about.

Sit in bean bags on terraced slope by a sheltered water where rowers and canoe groups float. This is the best place ever to soak up the Wellington waterfront culture.

This cafe on the waterfront was a wonderful find. Mum & I had a delicious lunch here and returned with more family the next day. The food was delicious - loved the big brekkie - with hangi hash, heaps of delicious bacon, homemade chicken sausage patties and more! Our family also enjoyed their meals, although the burgers were a bit... More

We go to this place whenever the sun is out, and even tho it gets crazy busy and the staff are running around, the food is still awesome, the vibe is still great. Spring rolls and wedges are amazing, always ask for extra dip! Also try and go when there're new happy hour is on! Got great selection of wines... More

My Wife and I had a late breakfast here and pleasantly surprised with the service and presentation / quality of the meal. This was just a breakfast !!, Will have to return for a larger meal to see if the overall experience continues

Very slow service and didn't get food right. Tried to order drinks and the waiter ignored request to go off and get cutlery. Won't come back

lovely cafe is a great location. Gluten free pancakes are great and there is nothing better than chilling on the outdoor bean bags.
