Awarded TWO HATS Good Food Awards 2013, 2014, Supreme Winner Restaurant of the Year NZ 2009. Nearly 20 years after Steve Logan founded the restaurant, Logan Brown is still showing newcomers how to do fine dining. The neo-classical interior remains as plush as ever, drawing diners who wouldn't normally brave the upper reaches of hipster Cuba St, while competent, confident service encourages adventurous choices from the Bible-length wine list. The kitchen, headed by Shaun Clouston, continues to turn out innovative, but not gimmicky, food. There's a strong emphasis on local and seasonal flavours, with a nod to the huntin', shootin' and fishin' enjoyed by the restaurant's founders. The Rangitikei lamb rack, for example, comes with a full-bodied rabbit bolognese; the succulent line-caught snapper with tuatua fritters. Classic Kiwi flavours are embraced and showcased with a sense of humour - don't miss the hokey pokey ice-cream sandwich. In brief: style, service and food you can bank on Said international guest judge, Ralph-Kyte Powell, "If I had to select an international flagship for New Zealand cuisine. Logan Brown would be hard to go past"

Visited the capital for a long weekend, Logan Brown has been on the agenda for a long time and it certainly delivered. We had the 5 x course chefs tasting menu. The food was very good. Not a big range but something for every one. The appetisers were great. Service was excellent. Somewhat expensive but worth it. We liked the décor. Good atmosphere.

I have eaten at Logan Brown many times. For family celebrations, lunches and pre-Christmas dinners, Logan Brown is excellent for evening dinners, lunches and pre-theatre dinners. The food is always exceptional and imaginative. It always features local seafood, meats, poultry and fruit and vegetables. The menu is varied and it caters for most tastes

Amazing food, served by professional staff who know just when to be present Never intrusive and there at the right time when the wine glasses need to be replenished or plates removed. The hare was so tender complimented by a delicious sauce .. my mouth still waters when I think of it. Logan Brown ticks all the boxes.. top class... More

Although the food is rather expensive the service and great taste makes up for this. The presentation was fantastic and the service the best. The setting is also great.

High praise indeed thank a million. True we use some very special ingredients such as hare, scampi, paua and wild venison that does mean our menu prices are slightly more than similar restaurants. More

The most amazing service and food that I have had in Wellington. Well worth the price and all beautifully presented and cooked. Just loved the way the waiter helped us with choice of wine and food and just all so special.

This was the first time we'd done a degustation here and it was exceptionally brilliant, the food was delicious, well presented and service impeccable. On Saturday nights this is the only choice unless you come very early for bistro dinner. We did the 5 course degustation and at $105 pp, you find yourself wanting to lick the plate clean. It... Lovely setting and food was delicious. More a place to go for the experience. How ever my wine glass say empty for a while, the floor staff need to be a bit more on to it to match the premises

A group of our family decided to surprise our mum for her 70th, so a nice hotel and dinner out was the plan. When we booked the meal at Logan Brown, we had no idea just how amazing it would be! We chose to have the degustation option, and I have to say that every course was magical. The staff... More
