Awarded TWO HATS Good Food Awards 2013, 2014, Supreme Winner Restaurant of the Year NZ 2009. Nearly 20 years after Steve Logan founded the restaurant, Logan Brown is still showing newcomers how to do fine dining. The neo-classical interior remains as plush as ever, drawing diners who wouldn't normally brave the upper reaches of hipster Cuba St, while competent, confident service encourages adventurous choices from the Bible-length wine list. The kitchen, headed by Shaun Clouston, continues to turn out innovative, but not gimmicky, food. There's a strong emphasis on local and seasonal flavours, with a nod to the huntin', shootin' and fishin' enjoyed by the restaurant's founders. The Rangitikei lamb rack, for example, comes with a full-bodied rabbit bolognese; the succulent line-caught snapper with tuatua fritters. Beautiful restaurant, great service

And absolutely stunning room, with exceptional service, and delicious food. Would thoroughly recommend the seven course degustation menu with matching wines.

This is my top pick in Wellington for its atmosphere, quality and kiwi hospitality. The coffee is the best in Wellington and the views are beyond compare. It is an effort to get there though if you don't have a car. So plan for it, as you can get buses from the city centre. If you are a vegetarian, rest... More

Visiting NZ, we made reservations here way ahead of time, because we wanted a fine dining experience in Wellington. It must have been an off night, since it was not very special. We were seated in a rather dark alcove-like area of restaurant. Service was somewhat indifferent, and the food was pretty average. All in all, a rather expensive disappointment!

Great ambience, faultless service and most of all - excellent food, I would recommend the venison and lamb dish and go for the medley of Logan a Brown desserts.

During our time in NZ we visitedLogan Brown quite a few times and enjoyed the experience every time. The building itself has a lot of character and there is always a great atmosphere in the room. The service is impeccable, efficient but not obtrusive. The menu always a delight, our favourite being the Bistro Menu which changed regularly and was... More

Great food and wine, particularly impressed how they cared and managed food allergies. Recommended for any important meal with guests.

First time we have dined here and were not disappointed. Logan Brown is known for excellent service and attention to detail. We had great service, everything was presented beautifully and the food was delicious. It is one of the higher priced restaurants around but well worth it for a special night. Lovely for a intimate romantic dinner or something special... More

We booked for 6.45pm & arrived on time. Was a Tuesday & not overly busy. Placed our orders by 6.55. Entree arrived at 7.25 & the mains arrived at 8.10. For me this was too long a wait. I didn't think the food was as good as previous visits but it all still cost a lot. Went away pretty disappointed.
