Awarded TWO HATS Good Food Awards 2013, 2014, Supreme Winner Restaurant of the Year NZ 2009. Nearly 20 years after Steve Logan founded the restaurant, Logan Brown is still showing newcomers how to do fine dining. The neo-classical interior remains as plush as ever, drawing diners who wouldn't normally brave the upper reaches of hipster Cuba St, while competent, confident service encourages adventurous choices from the Bible-length wine list. The kitchen, headed by Shaun Clouston, continues to turn out innovative, but not gimmicky, food. There's a strong emphasis on local and seasonal flavours, with a nod to the huntin', shootin' and fishin' enjoyed by the restaurant's founders. The Rangitikei lamb rack, for example, comes with a full-bodied rabbit bolognese; the succulent line-caught snapper with tuatua fritters. Classic Kiwi flavours are embraced and showcased with a sense of humour - don't miss the hokey pokey ice-cream sandwich. In brief: style, service and food you can bank on Said international guest judge, Ralph-Kyte Powell, "If I had to select an international flagship for New Zealand cuisine. Logan Brown would be hard to go past"

We had an evening at Logan-Brown as a special family ocassion, and were treated to a table in the balcony overlooking the main floor. The service was impeccable, and the food excellent. I can't think of anything at all that would have improved this evening experience. Of course, Logan-Brown is not a low cost restaurant, but in our opinion the... More

Enter the restaurant and you are looked after by very helpful staff. Enjoy a drink at the bar before going to a beautifully laid out table. Menu selection is extensive as is the wine menu. Fine food, great staff and a beautiful setting.

Had been told this was the place to eat in Wellington but would not get a table because we had not booked weeks before our spontaneous trip. However we came upon it on a Saturday lunch time and as it was cold popped in just before opening time on the off chance. Could not have been more helpful sat us... More

Graduation family lunch. Decor fresh. Building has some history. All our meals were superb and desert particularly tasty. Great service. Centrally located. Expensive but it is fine dining, so you know in advance that you need to briefly speak to the bank manager before you enter.

Thanks for the great rating. We do use the very best and exotic ingredients which unfortunately cost a bit. Hare fillet, scampi, paua, rabbit, wild venison, pheasant , line court hapuka and so on are not every day ingredients for sure. All sauces, relishes, garnishes, breads, desserts etc are made from scratch with love and skill so at mains less... More

Thanks for letting us know how much you enjoyed the degustation experience. It is nice not to have to decide what to order and the courses just roll out. Plenty of time between courses to enjoy company and celebrate the likes of an anniversary and let the good times roll! More

I took my mother here for High Tea to celebrate both our birthdays..and again Logan Browns delivered. The staff were attentive but not overbearing, the food / cocktail/tea were lovely.
