A friend and I had lunch here last week while holidaying at the Mount. Lunch was ok, Teriyaki Chicken, but a little pricey we felt. Good amount on plate and dressing, salad and chicken were very nice. Could have been a little more chicken tho. Good views over the Mount Main Beach. Sometimes it can be very busy along here,... Nice place for dinner, lunch, or maybe breakfast but beware the prices in N.Z> for these types of meals, dinners and lunch's are NOT cheap...looking at N.Z. $27+ per plate....stupid...and they want tourist to eat, drink and have a good time!!

Went to Tauranga for the day and pre-picked 3 high-rated TripAdvisor cafes for breakfast/lunch. They were SideTrack, Delissi and DeckChair. At 2:30pm on a Monday all 3 had their kitchens closed and we stumbled across this place. Ordered the $20 breakfast with poached eggs (Can't recall it's name) and was pleasantly suprised. Eggs were poached perfectly and all the other... More

Had sunday lunch couple weekends ago. Family get together with auntie and Gran. Daughter, son in law and grandies, whilst weather not the best - abit windy - one can enjoy great views of Mount main beach. Very average menu and counter selection - service was attentative - so attentative that my Chicken Caesar salad arrived fairly quickly without half... More

I always enjoy the chicken teriyaki salad. Always made fresh and there is always plenty of salad and vegies included. Good price and quick friendly service. Like most of the cafes beside it there are good views over the main beach.

After the family and I had spend a few hours at the beach it was time for some tucker to warm us up. This place was fairly empty apart from a table of Japanese customers. Seeing as the menu was mostly Japanese and the chef looked Japanese we figured we were onto a good thing! Overall I guess we were... More

Was early evening after big drive to get to the Mount. Unfortunately place smelt of cooking oil from deep fried chips - shame when sushi is so healthly. Had the seafood chowder which was filled with lots of seafood & came with garlic bread - excellent price but way, way too hot. Husband had teriyaki salmon & daughter had sushi... More

The udon i ordered is really nice, but the large mocha is really poor, I can only taste light milk, I told the lady who served me, and I've been told that I have to tell them if I want more than 1 coffee shot. In my understanding, when we pay for a large coffee, we are not only pay... More

Having just finished our walk off the Mt we were pretty hungry! Being a Sunday afternoon all the eating places were busy but Oceanside had a few empty tables outside. A little hesitant seeing as everywhere else was full but we ventured in and the lovely waitress showed us to a table with a great view of the beach. I... More
